Doing IT outside, Geurilla style 2010

why don't we make some bets about the v plant (thanks for naming her :)), how much yield do you think she can hold on those stick thin stems, lol. yeah THC123 has promised me a half a pound on that plant roflmao, just kidding.

 Hey Mr. Gaiusmarius. I have been skimming through your thread with my morning coffee. Much better than the newspaper which has celebreties, sex and a generally negative appeal on the front page this morning. I think the Sunday Newspaper should be different, but now im straying totally off topic....

I think the V-plant will yield 20 grams on each bud, Well actually I will be a little bit more optimistic and guess 25 grams on each.:bump:
Remember to weigh it with the stem lol.

At my place high pressure is running the show, which means sun for the plants,:) but also very cold night temps. My season is coming too an end rapidly now. Lowest temp this night was 0,5 Celcius.

When does the frost come at your place?

I dont know if there is a God, but his idea of having a resting day once a week is awesome i think, so take it easy today and just enjoy m8.

Later G.....:gday:

how many liters of soil would you give autos, if i'm planning on 50 to 60 lt of grow mix in a hole per normal plant, how much for autos? 15lt? also seems they need less heavily ferted soil mix then the longer growing normal strains?

Nice grow u have going here...

for auto plots i use 2.8 cubic feet of mix loose for 16-24 auto's in a 4x4' plot...Kinda like an AF SOG, except outdoor's..

WhatAF's are u planning to run outside?

Not long now til' i see my Frisians! The last time i saw them they hadn't started flowering (around 10th August) but almost. Getting all excited, they'll either be there or they won't, and they'll be mouldy or they won't. Who knows? I'll find out in a few days.
If they've done what yours have done i'll be a happy guy indeed! I'm kinda hoping there will be an early one ready to chop as soon as i get there. :)

Hey mate, its looking very good here. :D

I dont know how popular the locations are to pot heads or dickheads, but I`d say if there are any rippers aware of these plants, they`d have taken them by now, they wouldn1t take the chance of missing them and wouldn`t have the fussiness that you as a connoisseur would have like tric colouration so I`d try and relax as much as possible about it buddy. Easier said than done tho, I know. lol

All the best with the finishing straight, looks a lovely selection of smokes.

I wanna try this next year in the uk, I`ll be doing all the necessary reading and strain decisions this winter. The short and variable uk season is a problem, but as you said Gaius, strain selection is going to be the key.

Stay lucky my friend, Toke :D

Tokesome, I'm in the UK and growing the Frisian Dew. Hopefully i'll have some pics to show you in a few days. ;)

Wow, and they`ve handled the wet weather this year, when do they come down? It must be a testing time for them right now, cold and wet and now forcasting damp but 19c tmro, then back to cold. Our weather has been dampening my spirits regarding growing outdoors here next year.

Thanks mate, look fwd to some pics and results.:)

Cheers, Toke:)

i was only joking about the jealousy thing GS ;) ...am more pissed at myself for not doing early normal strains after seeing all you guys bring in a decent harvest compared to my partly moldy autos .

I wouldn't worry about the rain washing off your trichs mine had a whole month of rain and they were frosty as hell .. if that makes sense lol but the potency blew me away ..

Good to see you have the patience to wait ... good on you GS

hehe yeah i knew you was kidding, i was just trying to carry on the joke :)

will be fun to see how we do next year with what we learned this time round. you'll be adding normal strains and i'll be adding some autos with any luck, lol.

waiting isnt too hard, it's the worry that while i wait for the perfect moment, that some one else decides not to wait. :)

Looking amazing G. Cant wait to see you harvest.

i'll post a few pics from harvesting the first plant today. was dry all day so i thought it would be a good moment to grab that plant in spot 5 from the spot that got compromized. didn't want to wait longer and risk it being nicked. leaving the other one for another week or 10 days.

:thank you: :dance013: :joint: :bongsmi:

:tiphat:

schweet deal man.... I want a purpley one... I'll trade ya some lol mine are about 47-56 day flower times depending on grow style lol

lol, they do look rather pretty with all the red and purple coloring. i'd have to go back and check to see how long they have been flowering, i know i did put them out late and they started flowering very fast after i planted these plants in spot 4 and 5

i'm honored that you'd think my thread worthy of browsing instead of the papers lol. things have gotten more interesting recently though i have to admit, lol. the budding makes all the difference.

i am thinking more along the lines of 25g for both buds on the V plant, would be awesome if it's more. yes i'll weigh with stems lol.

the weather is still quite mild, we have had a bit of rainy days, but i don't think we'll get frost before the middle of next month at the earliest, but you never know. had a lazy day on Sunday too, the weather was too bad to go out, lol.

I really like the way you do IT ;) sexy looking buds right there

lol thanks. i like doing IT outside, it's fun :dance013:

yeah see of green sounds like the best way to go with the trditional short autos. to be honest nothing is sure yet, but i might do some LR2's. it comes highly recommended from multiple members as a worth while smoke.

wow you are gonna get a nice surprise when you see them, i bet they are massive and beautiful. not one of mine has shown any mold so far so you should be good mold wise. the only one i'm a bit disappointed in is the green pheno that has been the slowest to fatten up, the pistil hairs are turning but the calyxes are now swelling up. but i am reserving my final judgment till i'm smoking them, that's what it's all about in the end.

yeah that's a good point, if the guy who stumbled on my spot 5 was a ripper he'd have taken them by now. i took the ripest one from there anyway. was pretty nerve wrecking today. while i was ducked next to my plants i heard the forester passing 2x with his truck and one party on foot. as some green has died back that spot doesn't hide me totally at certain points, unless i'm ducked down. so i just chopped the plant into segments and packed them up. didn't feel comfortable doing the trim there. first i wasn't even gonna take any pics, but after it was quite for a while on the path i was able to relax a bit and take a few pics.

like you said the strain is the main thing. get some of those northern strains esbe works with and you should be fine. i would like to get some of those too for next year.

for some reason the buds on the ripe plant looked smaller today then i had remembered them being from the last pics lol.

will post the pics in a bit, got to resize them and get rid of the exif data or what it's called, first.

Peace and thanks for your interest guys

Mmmm. . . . looking fwd to yer pics, I`ll pop back in a bit and take a look. I`m having an all day sort out of my grow today, having to tie loads of stems up with still the best part of 4 weeks to go. . . . I dont mind that kinda work. :D

I wonder if you could find out where the forresters are gonna work next year by chatting one up, once you`ve finished and asking what there plans for conservation next year are. Then you could make sure you`re not in the same position next year?

Its a bit crap that we all have to feel the nervousness of law or ripper`s at all eh?

Toke ;)

i have been thinking along those lines too, there must be a plan for the work on the forest. would be helpful to see that plan for next season. although i think the area i'm in with spot 4 and 5 has already had it's old trees chopped down, it's basically open land surrounded by walls of dense trees. open land means there is growth to about chest high of weeds with a few trees interspersed here and there, some even protected with a cage. this area is too good not to try again there. not the exact spot 5, but that general area seems perfect for me. knowing the guy working there doesn't care about cannabis plants is great too. i will try to make sure to make it harder for him to stumble on them again

anyway here we go with the first lot of pics:

nah not a shit load, maybe a piss load though, lol.....

in the end those plants are all very small and will not be yielding very much. i'm happy with what ever they give. next year i will give them much more time and bring in soil. the plants from spot 4 and 5 are all growing in the soil that was there. if i dig a hole and give 40 lt of soil with a bunch of luxury amendments i should get proper sized plants no problem .

that's not the V plant, lol. it's the only other topped plant though so you can't be blamed for mixing them up. this is the V plant, she's in spot 1 and the pic is 14 days or more old, also growing in just local soil:

my macro efforts

i only deleafed them, i want to let them dry slow so i left the small trim, also i might just smoke it with the trim, it will depend on the taste. i don't mind a bit of resiny trim in with the spliff, lets me use les 'bacy.

Oh nice work mate, they look like real treats.

Great effort especially for the length of time they had. I reckon next year you`ll be expecting a much bigger harvest and need those waterproof (smell proof!) containers they use for rafting and canoeing to carry the stuff home, :D Well that`s my plan for next year, although its the only part of the plan that`s sorted so far :D

I`d like to be sitting with you sharing a few spiffs of that lovely looking guerrilla grown treats, I`ll have to sedate myself with some honey oil instead though.

Cheers, Toke ;)

Hey GM , the sat pheno on spot 4 could go another week if she isn't molding , but best to check with your scope

things are looking great , do you also harvest and dry the buds with the small leaves on? i also do this , i think it tastes better cuz it dries slower that way

what smells is the purple one you harvested giving you? a fresh smell with a hint of sweetness , vanilla and a bit of herby rottenness?
