14" x 14" ScrOG - 4 plants or 1?

So I've got a touch over 14" x 14" to work with in a ScrOG. I'm thinking of getting four 7" x 7" square pots, 1.5 gallon each, so 6 gallons total.

I read that in larger ScrOGs people generally do one plant per square foot, so I'm wondering if doing 4 plants in 14" x 14" would be more hassle than it's worth.
Another thing is finding a good 14"x14" pot, those 7"x7" pots would fit so perfect.

So anyway, 4 plants in that small of an area... more hassle than it's worth or go for it?

I have plants now that I just sent to flower that will be bigger than 14x14 w/o any scrogging.

I don't see how you could put 4 plants in a scrog in that space

I also dont think you need a pot the same size as the plant

would it not be wise to use all the space I can, though?

It's definitely a small space, so perhaps I can do just one plant, that was my original plan afterall

with a couple weeks veg you could easily fill that 14x14 space with one plant

what kind of light with a 14x14 space? CFL's?

Just wanted to give some input but I am not familiar with this size of a grow.

CFLs for veg, 150w HPS + supplemental CFLs for flower
I started a thread on the box construction here

The box itself is bigger than 14"x14", that's just the footprint of the grow area. The box is 3' tall, so I should have almost 2' of vertical room to grow

and yeah, I guess that's really the only difference would be the time for veg. Maybe I will do one plant first. I don't even have a mother/cloning station or anything anyway.
I could always build a mother cabinet and move to 4 plants eventually. Just not sure how much faster my harvest would be, realistically, when doing 4 plants, especially in this tight space

1 plant will be more than enough for a 14 x 14" scrog. it will look like a jungle in there. pinch off large fan leaves during veg to increase shoots and tighten up node space for more bud sites. You could fill a 24 x 24 screen with one plant. You will see!

yep just takes ya a bit more veg time. use a larger container for just 1 plant like a 5 gal bucket...

The 5gal may be a bit overkill and with a 150 it will probably do about the same in a 2-3 gal, but I agree with MHHSP and Johnny completely. A nice scrog of that size could net you maybe an ounce or so with a 150.

I would only do 4 plants in the box with a vertical light setup, but it would be a tight burnt leaf venture I fear. You would need to have the ventilation and light cooling set up spot on for it to be better than you can do with a single plant scrog.

yea I guess 5 gal is a bit much, could lead to over-watering problems guess I was thinking about my 400 and 600 grows. good luck
