I can't wait to get some up and running, all my beans popped... Though, the straggler brainstorm is taking FOREVER.... all others have two leaf sets the brainstorm is just iddy bitty, I too will be doing coco vs. soil. If coco wins... game over for soil :p

sidebyside : day 12

unfortunately coco plant #1 grew into the lights a little bit and I had to top her...the buds aren't setting yet so it shouldn't affect yield tooo much, I hope.

some sour60 shots including the leafstem mutation thingie.

I'm working out a new build, 2 conjoined speaker boxes. They're gonna be low wattage for mother plants. I counted my strains the other day and I have over 20 so I need a box for them all. Decided to get fancy and get one of these ...I'm very excited for that thing..I have a "master kaze" controller in my ngb setup but this server one is alot more advanced with the auto/semi auto settings. This new cab is gonna be kickass. Sorry I'm not documenting the build lol, doesn't seem that there would be much interest. Fancontroller is on order and I have a few tricks up my sleeve, hopefully it will be done by the end of the week. When it's done I'll post up some pics and details on it. I plan on making it as "clean" as I can. It should be pretty badass if I do say so myself

oh and here's the controller I almost bought, just got released, it was just a little too big and didn't have an ez way to mount it into the cab *drool* ....holychit it's badass though! I'm gonna get one for sure though if I ever build a bigger ngb size cab again.

thanks!

Very nice plants bro, I have some CoCo sitting around to play with too. I was going to wait to dial in my first round, but I think with these results I am going to go right for the gold.

You referred me to a thread in the thread I posted earlier about micro strains, etc. Could you link me? I have failed to find it with the search option. :)

I like the coco vs soil battle you got going there. I have been thinking about trying coco soon and would like to know what nutrients you are using for your soil vs coco battle and also what is your soil mix? I like the fact that you have a rediculous amount of different stealth cabs/setups! I only have one right now a 150 hps cab which is nice and all but not big enough for me. I am looking to start another 150 or 250 cab as well. I bought a 1 meter grow tent and 600 hps aircooled reflector carbon filter and 6" inline speed controller lumatek ballast. Well turns out the stuff gets here and I soon thereafter had somewhat of a security scare so now I will not be using that equipment at this place I dont think hopefully after I move though I will. But for here is is going to have to be stealth cabs made of pieces of furniture. I like this thread though and you seem to be doing pretty well with what your working with. Keep up the good work!

thanks bueno, for coco nutes I use h3ad's 6/9 with 2 ml calmag+ and a few drops of dripclean. I make 3 mixes...25% for new clones, 50% after they're a few inches..then 100% when they hit flower. For soil I'm just using ffof and they get a little molasses and fish emulsion when they need it, but for such small plants in a quick cycle they usually only get 1 or 2 feedings per cycle. oh and the coco is red brick cocotek, rinsed and presoaked for a day or 2 in 2ml per gal of calmag+.

:tiphat:

I'm bored and taking a break for a few :joint:

here's a peak at what I'm working on...so far so good.

I really didn't realize how complex this thing was until I realized I need to build a wiring schematic...that's not even all of them. There's also 4 temperature leads I have to run..

too many wires!

edit: oops and here's the sidebyside : day 14

looks like the one on the right is a runt (didn't have enough rootmass yet)...the stretch should be about over.

thanks guys :tiphat: here's some nice fresh pics for ya. MMmmmmm....they're still warm...

steady progress

hmm..lots left to do...I think the next step is the fan controller and the other speaker/door on the bottom.
ccfl

I think I've taken 3 clones so far..and there's a 6th plant that lives in there too, she's just camera shy. slow steady growth, just like I wanted :)

coco vs soil:

well I got a soil runt and coco#1 on the far left got topped right before the end of stretch when she got sunburnt, So...at least I ended up with 2 "normal" ones..we'll have to wait and see how they bulk up in the next few weeks. :jump:

edit:do not use honeywell inwall timers. they are not cfl ready ;) apparently alot of cheap inwall timers can't run cfls, mine wouldn't fire up the plls all the way! freaked me out..I checked every ground and connect, then I read some reviews about it online and found out that it's not "cfl ready"

Lol, not cfl ready... Good stuff. I love the look of the new cab,.... Too bad you ran out of room, that coco baby was on a roll. I have already decided I am going to make another cab just like the one I have, just this time all one room with a CMH for my taller flowers ;)

Nice! That's where the controller's gonna be right? You and blynx are Micro Cab Royalty!! haha

wow now that's a compliment.

I harvested my first coco plant in my big room, got like 693 wet weight I thinks...so like 5-6 oz! good stuff! sorry no pics of that :( gonna have to take my word for it. ;)

the fan controller is going right under the fans and timer in the top, I'm gonna get to work on making a bracket for it now...

 thanx for the support guys.

I don't doubt you at all... With the micro skills you possess, if you would blow those up... I am sure that would make for some mighty big trees.

:dance013: progress...

..got the controller wired in and installed, all electrics are running smooth..including the speakers ;) ..

I'm also installing a headphone jack and usb port eventually to run my mp3 player 24/7. I have the parts, but I can do that later after it's up and running.

next up is building the insert doors for the top and bottom. I'm thinking an interior frame made of some metal "L" edging stuff at homedepot...then a piece of wood with magnets will insert into the frame and hopefully hold nice and snug against some weather stripping. Over the inserts will go the original speaker covers.

edit:
taking a break for a few...

about the controller...

kaze server: 4 temperature displays (comes with 2 spare probes), runs and controls 4 fans and displays rpms max 12w per channel. lcd display can be turned off. temperature and fan failure alarms (audio can be disabled) C or F temp display. has manual, semi, and auto modes...
"AUTO mode: Kaze Server switches off the fan, when the real temperature is much lower than the self-defined temperature.
SEMI mode: In addition to AUTO mode, a minimal rpm of the fan can be defined together with the self-defined temperature."

42$ + shipping @ newegg.

the fans I'm using btw are masscool 80mm .15A..(aka cheapest I could find)the pic on newegg shows a 0.3A fan but they're only .15A..should work fine for my cab though. all this fancy stuff and I get $0.99 fans..lol they've served me well in the ngb so far though ;)
