Hello, thought I'd introduce myself. I'm here in Alaska, have been growing for almost 16 years, breeding for about 10. Grow hydro, drip while I breed, and an inline undercurrent hybrid system for non breeding crops.
AK, cool to hear from an Alaskan. I was born and raised near Talkeetna. I miss it all the time. Probably make my way back at some point in the next couple years....got fam up there, too.
Well, I know winter's on the way. You probably have some nice projects lined up. Care to share any strains you're working with right now? Best wishes, man...
Hey, I'm always curious...are there any strains that are workable outdoors in AK? The long days would give great veg growth, but is it possible to get them to finish in time?
I heard the cannabis laws up there are lenient. That there was some court case that said 20 or less plants are within your rights to personal privacy, or something like that.
The law up here is 24 or less is misdemeanor, so there's only a few busts a year, and there huge commercial setups. And as for outdoor, only thing that I can think would work would be autos. Might try next summer, not a fan of the whole auto craze, but I have a billion freebie autos ya know. As for projects, I'm currently getting ready to do some kush crosses, and am making an ibl of ninja turtle kush. Also gonna do a couple crossed with my 94 Whitehorse white widow cut.
I know, people have no clue about our strains. Buddy got the original cut of the blueberry. Trying to get the old talkeetna catpiss pine. Dunno if it's around anymore, haven't seen it since 95
welcome mr ak....born and raised in the delta area...went to dimond for half a year before they kicked me out! miss home so much sometimes...people talking bout ole blue from alaska? i tell stories about that strain that even here in socal, with all the elites, they kinda doubt the veracity of my blueberry tales!
Whata small world, I went to dimond. And the ak blue is still around, gotta a purple pheno goin now. Will post some pics in a Lil bit, only 5 days in, will wait til ya can see some nugs.
i went there in the mid eighties...lived right down the street...rasberry i think was the street...is tomcoe still the football coach/security dude...that sonofabitch suspended me for fighting the FIRST day of school! haha
Alaska's definatly pretty, wildlife right out your window. It's alot more chill than the states, amazing camping, fishing, sight seeing, and there's alot of cool festivals in the summer.
