I have over head light but also have a vertical pll light in center of grow. I need the vertical to get light down in bottom area of plants for dense flowers.

When I flower them, I want them to stretch all they can, as half are indica and 10 inches at the most with 2 months veg. Should I wait to add the vertical until after the stretch is over?

In my experience, it can reduce stretch significantly. I can't understand why you would want them to stretch though???? I know that when I add a 150w CMH vertical to a 400w Horizontal CMH (which holds stretch down with good blue levels), it reduces the stretch even more.

Helps with full bud developement down below.... Some of the fullest/thickest 'trees' I ever grew were with 1200w of vertical CMH in a 6x4' foot print. Just rotate the plants regularily.

Good luck to ya!

I would say don't wait. Stretch has more factors then just lighting. Genetics, phenotype, more n beginning of flower, veg training, temps, & pot size for examples. You can manipulate your plant to fill in how you want. These are not facts but just my observations of my own grow.

Thanks guys^^ I have decided to wait on the vertical, as I need all the stretch I can potentially get. I am growing 4 Afghan Kush, 2 Ketama(sativa)have to tie them down, 1 Paki Kush and the Kush's need all they can get to yield a damn.

what kind of light are you vegging under? ...if you want more stretch, add more red light during veg.
