I keep my girls working for me, not the other way around.
Sometimes its hard to forget who is working for who. The mrs. tends to remind met that.

Gave the (hopefully) gals 0.2L of compost tea with 0.8L of dechlorinated water and the same solution I used as a foliar spray. (the lights are out)

I'll give them another cup of the same solution in a few hours.

In the brew I got:
14L dechlorinated tap water. (300 PPM, around 7.6PH)
1 cup worm castings
15ml Mexican bat guano (high N)
30ml water squeezed from seaweeds I picked from the sea. (tap water left after washing the salts away in the sink. pretty concentrated)
10 grams dark moist brown sugar (with the molasses still in it)

Got that bubbling for 16 hours (temps around 30°C).
I'll give it a few more hours and do the same trick - around 100ml of foliar feeding and 1L of compost tea. Both diluted at a 1:4 tea to water ratio.

Happy Rosh Hashana everyone :D

I had a mistake on my previous post - the big plant is the Cloud #9 and the second biggest is the Blue Mystic.

Here are some more pictures.
The Ice Kush looks exactly the same so I won't post another post just to add its picture.

I hope it'll bounce up, that one cost me more than 6 bucks!

I've raised 8 BMs before (these last two are what left of a 10pack) and the indica dominant pheno is what I got.
Its by far shorter and stretches less, finish a bit quicker and produce pretty much the same smoke as the sativa dom. pheno.
I like it better but I don't think it will perform as well as the sativa dom. pheno in this setup as it doesn't stretch as much.
When vegging to 60-80cm I used to get around 40 cm more height during flowering with this pheno.
But it does fill out better than the sativa dom. pheno.

you bro look out, you seem to have bugs on that jack the ripper, see the under leafs, search for black spots, you must have spider mites by the looks of it!
good luck!

Nice that you've spotted it.

I have bugs, but they are not the issue there.
Usually tobacco fly aphids (the plants outside are filled with them) are my arch enemy. There are tons of them on the plants outside the apartment and I got nothing to do about it.
I usually focus on making the plants strong enough to handle them rather than fighting the flies.
I also hang a sticky trap and screen my venting tubes when they start to become an issue, but I never got to kill them properly no matter what I've used. And I've used some pretty darn toxic stuff.

I got all kind of mites around as I grow organic plants on my window bars. But I also got stuff that eats them.

As for now there are no visible pests living on the plants.

I believe the spots are from my misting combined with overheating.

I think those are hard water spots but definitely have a look.
It most likely is hard water spots as I was spraying with hard water.

Thanks a lot for helping out mates :D

All plant took off pretty nicely.
The runt is showing growth as well.

They should show sex in a week or so.
All the plants beside the runt started shooting branches.

Watered them with manure compost (and a bit EWC) at around 10% strength.
Made it for my house plants but if I had it made why not use it...

Here are the plants :tiphat:

Temps are around 34°C and relative humidity goes from 40% to 71%.
The 400W is hung 40-50 cm above the canopy.

Some white flies and spidermites on the plants, but nothing sticks too long.
I'll hang a sticky trap in the next few days to lower their numbers.

As long as there's a diversity of insects I hope they will keep each other at bay.

Unlike previous grows I decided to try focusing on keeping my plants healthy enough to reject pests rather than fighting the pests myself.

just a day later and they needed watering again.
Got the same tea with 2 parts water.

They will be transplanted soon.

Haven't updated in a while, huh?

I got all the plants in a long rectangular pot, the ones that aren't feminized are in their pot inside the large pot.
I got mostly perlite in the bottom layer of the pot and then the mix previously mentioned.
When I'll finish planting I'll get the mulching done.

They are growing very well for now.

attachment.php

The left one in the pot is the C#9. I messed their order and planted the BM in the soil instead of the C#9.
Got that taken care of.

The order from left to right is:
Cloud #9 -> Blue Mystic -> Sweet Deep Grapefruit -> Ice Kush -> Jack The Ripper.

attachment.php

This is the SDG rootball when transplanting. I think its the healthiest root system I've ever grown. Shiny white, not tangled, fibrous, strong and pumped up.

Its getting colder (below 30°C at noon) and I should start my other chamber soon.

However, after a day less than a month from sprouting they show no sex. I thought the 12\12 from seed should start faster.
Oh well.

I'm brewing a tea right now to spike up the P in the soil to hopefully jump start the flowering.
I got 2.5L of dechlorinated water, half a cup of EWC, a large tablespoon of high P guano and a teaspoon of sugar.
They will bubble for a day.

The pictures are from 3 days ago.

Got a bubblecloner ready to go when plants show sex.

Thanks superduperweed :)
I'll have some pictures hopefully tomorrow.

Yesterday I found preflowers on the Sweet Deep Grapefruit. She's the strongest, fastest, tallest and most beautiful of the bunch.

I'm testing a cloner I've rigged and if its good I'll top her by the end of the week and root the cut.

Hi doc, and welcome to my grow.

I don't have my camera for the next few days (or weeks) so only a phone picture this time.

The Blue Mystic showed sex - its a she.
She got potted in the big pot and her roots are VERY white, shiny and happy.
The roots that formed around the BM pot were also very healthy.

The SDG shows MINOR N deficiency but I don't worry about it for now.

All plants have grown around x2 this past week. VERY fast growth.
The C#9 is by far the largest and fastest, shooting branches that form a Christmas tree shape.
The growth is as fast as I was getting with chem ferts, which is pretty awesome.

The plants grew so fast their tops are soft and weak as they haven't had the time to harden up yet.

The SDG shown pistils as well.
The JTR haven't shown sex yet.
The runt haven't either but started to grow normal looking leaves.

hello Igrowweed and welcome :)

I gave the plants 0.5L AACT diluted with 2.5L dechlorinated water.
Got the AACT diluted further to 1:10 and gave them a foliar feed as well.
I got some very high quality vermicompost that I wanted to introduce its biology to my grow.

All are growing well and the JTR seems like its a male, but considering its pretty late to show preflowers it might as well be a female.
I'll call it 50-50 chance for now. (which is what the chaos theory claims in any case but letting this theory aside)

I got 5 peat pellets (Jiffys) in dechlorinated water (haven't PHed the water) and I will take some cuttings.
Considering the C#9 is the fastest and most vigorous I'll probably take more cuts from her than from the rest.
It stretches quite a bit when starting to flower and I intend to fit the cuttings in the same room with 12\12 lights so I want it to stretch some to make place for buds to come :D

I get some yellowing at the lower leaves which might mean 2 things; not enough Nitrogen or not enough space for roots.
I will add more compost and soil mix on top and add mulch(got a thread in the organic soil section if anyone care to give advice about activated charcoal as a mulch).
This should fix both problems.
Anyway, those leaves doesn't get much light and I would have chopped them anyway while topping the soil.

Still no camera, sorry.

Happy Sukkot everybody~!

looks nice fonzee!. that looks like a big fan to point directly at the plants - you should watch out for windburn on the closest one and maybe point it away from the plants if you get a problem - it will still cause plenty of air movement.

cheers

Oh, hello VerdantGreen!
Thanks for popping!

It actually is a heating fan, its a 4" or so vent inside and the heating coil is off.
The JTR might get too much air flow but the others are just fine.

I was just too lazy to fix a proper stand for the fan, so its there.
I should replace it soon to a bigger one (on the lower setting) so when flowering comes I'll have enough air flow.

Temps at daytime are 34-36°C so I rather have my room over-ventilated than over heated.

I will monitor the JTR however.

And again, thanks for popping :D

As for my grow log - I got 4 cuttings from the Cloud #9 (one of which is topped already) and one cut from the Sweet Deep Grapefruit.
All were put in a peat pellet and coated with a local rooting powder.

The Ice Kush is still too small and I don't like the Blue Mystic enough compared to the others.
The Jack The Ripper haven't shown sex yet. If its a she, I'll clone it ASAP.

Clones were put in my PC grow case under a 18W daylight CFL with only the exhaust fan on so humidity could build up but not enough for mold to thrive.
I should mist them every now and then to keep them happy.

Still no camera.

Got the top of the pot filled.
Placed around 0.7L of GOOD and FRESH vermicompost around the plants, around 3L of cow shit compost and topped it with a soil mix thats around 95% peat and 5% tuff.

I consider using activated charcoal as a mulch on top, might do that soon.

Got my camera back and got some pictures :D
The JTR is most likely a male. I think I'm starting to see balls.
But its all good - I'll be flowering it along until it forms established clusters and remove it to open the balls in another room to collect pollen and make some seeds.
If its a male and not a female. I would love a female too nontheless.

Overview:

Jack The Ripper (probably male):

Ice Kush (runt):

Sweet Deep Grapefruit:

Blue Mystic:

Cloud #9:

And a shot of my sticky trap:
attachment.php

I got a lot of stuff near the room but rarely anything stays long enough, which tells me my plants aren't weak :D

I LOVE the formation of the SDG and I will get some more cuts to flower along soon. Its also flowering the most.
The Blue Mystic grows slower than what I'm used to but probably because the C#9 takes most of the root space.

Most of the cuttings I took are not looking too well as they dried out too much when I was away.
Will probably need to take some more - but thats cool, I got a lot of lower branches to take.

I don't know where the cut on the JTR leaf came from. Doesn't bother me either, I probably ripped it when I wasn't paying attention.

I should water the pot tomorrow with dechlorinated tap water, around 4 liters.
