400 MH vs Fluorescent lights

I have four 4 foot 35 watt floros and two curly 65 watt floros in my veg now. I picked up a 400 watt MH for 5 bucks. Which should I use?

You will get better results with the metal halide, assuming you have the space to properly position it and the ability to deal with the heat it puts off.

I have had a 400 watt in there before and the only reason to change was to save a little money. I now think that 270 watts in floro or 400 in MH is very a little difference in cost.

No reason for both. The 400w will be more than enoughfor a veg room. Save the tubes for clones if you want....

Yea man 5 bucks. There are about 15 more if I want em. Belle Tire changed to floros. There all out back.

I have a friend who does office renovations, he came by one day with a truck load of 250w MH.

I love free gear.

BTW Most of those lights that come off a comercial property are wired for 220,You may have to open it up and wire it for 110

my 400 mh runs about 25 month 18/6

Ive already taken it apart to check that. Its 110 and it works great. Ill be posting pics in. My "5 PPP grow"
