Please HELP - Is she ready to be chopped or no?

Hi all,

I've recently started to find various spots of bud rot in my plants, and its really freaking me out.

A couple of my smaller plants got it real bad, but the larger ones only have it in parts.

I have 2 ladies that are doing very well, but I may have spotted some VERY EARLY signs of bud rot on them. I know the shit spreads very quickly, so is my best bet just to cut these 2 down now?

They look like they might be ready, but I'm not sure...THey could probably use more time, but I am trying to hedge my losses.

Please let me know what you guys think...I'm planning on chopping these 2 in about 12 hours...All feedback is appreciated!

I'd say they look about ready, maybe another week.. Only way to tell is thrichome color

Real close from the naked eye, but if you can go to radio shack and get a 100x scope for 10$ then you would know for sure. Nice buds by the way.

I bought one of these radio shack scopes. when i visited my garden tonight the light wouldn't work. Did I just get a lemon? Any better alternatives?

u got batteries in it? U can use a 30x+ loupe but u need light for that too - u could just use a flashlight w/the scope...

Thanks for the comments all...I'm getting really freaked out by mold so at the very least I'm going to cut the affected bud sites out.

Otherwise, I'll be here in 6 hours with some sweet harvest shots...We'll see though. If I see some amber trichs, shes going down for sure.

Whats the ratio of amber trichs to clear trichs that would be ready for harvest? Or if I see any shes ready?

in your case (bud rot), I'd say cut here if you see ANY amber

Thats what I did last night. If I had a dead/dying bud I just cut about 3 inches down and cut out the dead bud and quick manicure then hang to dry.

I got one quick glimpse of some trichomes before the light quit working on my microscope. I'm thinking that I saw about 50/50 clear to milky trichomes. My buds have alot of fresh white pistils still so I decided to harvest the dying portions and leave the rest to fatten up another week. Your buds are looking sweet though dude so post up the harvest pics when you do the deed. Well grown bongcritter!
