how many REAL friends do you have???

fortunate for me, i just found out i still have one real friend left. i have become a total introvert over the last few years due to back stabbers, betrayal and and down right crooked people. long story short i am pennyless and have been all week. i have no money til next friday and i dont have a single person to ask and i dont want to have to resort to doing something stupid for a couple bucks. i got a hold of a friend i havent seen in 10 years who lives a couple provinces over from me. i asked him to help me out with a bit of change and he didnt hesitate. i knew he would say yes but i had a hell of a time bringing myself to ask. i cant tell you what it means to me to know that at least i have one REAL friend left on this earth. how many do you have?

Although i dont hang out with all of them everyday,They are the people i could call
to borrow money if i needed it,ask for help if my car broke down at 3 am in the morning.Or get help if i needed to get bailed out of jail..After thinking about it ,i feel really lucky to have at least 1 let alone 4.....

Three. My best friend. Met him at a party in college. We were drinkin some beer and bullshitting. Cops busted the party.(We were both underage.) We ran together. Have pretty much been inseparable since. My GF and I have been together for 3 1/2 years. While I know that relationships can go south fast. I surely dont see that happening. And my Dog. I think the following applies to him.

Everyone else in my life, they are only out for themselves it would seem.

its good to have people who would do that for you......

if i didn't have someone to ask for cash, i would of been homeless right after my bust.....

i have 4, including a chick that are really good friends and tons of associates, but all the associates think there my really good friends.....

I am the same as many of you, I keep my distance form people, cause people in general suck. Drama filled, toxic people, always messing something up for someone else. But honestly, I have too many REAL friends to count. People I could call on anytime anyplace for anything.

Either that, or I have had really good luck--
I have dozens of good friends...and prolly 20 that would do any of the following for me...and might I say, vise versa--
*Pull a trigger for me, if I couldn't--(ie;Death;Jail)
*Bail me outta Jail...anytime--
*Write me a check, on simply my word--
*Make sure my family was safe and taken care of, if I couldn't--(ie;Death;Jail)

One time, in my younger days, I was driving down the road and out of nowhere a cat ran right in front of my car. Thinking I must have surely hit it, I stopped suddenly and jumped out of the car, looking around and under the car for the cat. My buddy, who didn't see the cat and didn't know what was going on, heard me say "No body" (I didn't see a dead cat anywhere), and jumped out of the car to help.

He looked around and said "I don't see anybody, who did you hit?"

"What?" I asked. "What do you mean who did I hit?"

"Didn't you hit someone? I thought when you said 'no body' that you didn't want to leave evidence, so I was gonna help you put the body in the trunk".

Money problems and the shitty economy has really fucked up alot of generally good people and made them highly untrustworthy because with desperate times come desperate actions.

Unfortunately I do not trust really anyone other than maybe 2 or 3 people in my life and the rest are all fucking suspect. Friends you can really trust are very hard to come by and as far as I see it unless I grew up with you or we are family then you are kept at a distance, that's just the way it is.
