Now that things are cured I can give a full smoke report on Pineapple Chunk. This is a hybrid I made to save C99 genetics, I had some older DC pollen that needed to be used. What better way to save her so I made a cross. Now that I finally grew some out I can share some info on this wonderful hybrid.
Strain: Pineapple Chunk
Genetics: C99 x Deep Chunk
Phenotype: C99/DC (75/25)
Appearence: Tight dense small to medium size buds, frosty light green with orange-red hairs. Nice looking buds for sure. (8/10)
Smell: Pineapples, grapefruits, fruity, afghan, coffee, and skunky. Very unique and fruity smelling nugs. More on the C99 side but with a hint of afghan. (9/10)
Taste: One of the best tasting strains I've tried. Pineapple, grapefruit, coffee, afghan flavor. Tastes like it smells. Simply awesome tasting herb. (10/10)
High: Pretty potent stuff for a 49 day finisher. The high hits quick with a smack in the forehead then the body. It has the zippiness of C99 but the laid back body of DC. Nice combo for sure. Too much can make you spacy at times. It can be easy overdone due to taste. Good mid-day and evening smoke. (8/10)
Overall: C99 is one of my favorite smokes so far and being matched up with DC ended up being a nice hybrid. It's a very unique strain and a must for any breeder or connoisseur. Deep Chunk traits came through in bud density and resin production the most. Some Afghan traits came out in the smell and smoke also. She is more C99 dom though and is why she's a keeper. Can't go wrong with something that is done in 49 days and has mass resin production and tastes wonderful. (9/10)
