So, I used to think autoflowers were good for people with number problems, grow skill problems, grow height etc...in short sure they had their functions for certain people, but not for me. I found out I had to break down after this grow a little before I started and just happened to pop in my head that since I would not be using my 2 4 foot t5 vegging flouros that I could run some auto-flowers while simultaneously flowering my tents. Great idea it was :D

I popped 20 roadrunner #2's to try to recoup the money I would lose by having to break down...at least pay bills etc so I did not take a loss for breaking down...get my logic? Fantastic product and very stable. I did not think you could stabilize autoflowers to the level of these...lol Better than some big seed companies I have tried no joke and most of them are 150% better quality than quite a few 'real' packs of seeds from huge companies...(ahem tfd bb x sk & nepal kush, mr. nice mang x widow, and ghs ww, wr, and gws (everything else from ghs has been superb))....

I got what looks like a half ounce a plant min in 1 gal containers. Some smell fruity/berry most have a funk to them that is indescribable...odd skunky smell but not bad, very good.

I am going to save this thread in my subscriptions as I have no time to post/process the pics I took, but rest assured I will so save the thread...I am really surprised lol. If I were growing AF's this is the brand I would buy...I see so much utility with these...(warning to the greedy ones amongst lol)...

This is definitely something I will do again, most likely outdoor on a huge scale. These will never replace my 'real' strains, but I damn sure think they have a huge benefit to those that put some thought into how to capitalize on these :D Quality is far above what I expected...if you got these buds you would have no idea they came from an AF. Yield looks like half pound...that's just me eying wet buds though but so far totally worth it!

Pretty much logged on just to say this...off for now very very busy.

hoping i can see some pictures of it soon cause i gotta admit im pretty damn curious, and yeah autos are awesome nowadays and they keep getting better and better, there's loads of top notch strains out there who got some pretty respectable yields and potency :) as you said..they were never ment to replace the 'real' strains, but theyre awesome for people that cant grow other than autos.

40amps, I think your testimony will help give autoflowers some more of the respect they actually deserve.
Lots of people have been hating on AFs while they obviously have not given them a try, or at least a decent chance to prove what they're worth. As you said, they might not fit everyone but they sure have their uses in many different situations. And they are far from being hemp, as some would like the rest to believe.
Your previous work with "regular" strains wipes off any doubt about your credibility and growing skills, so thanks a lot for posting your experience here!
I hope the haters will stumble upon this thread!

I am growing a roadrunner #2 right now that thing is already over a foot tall can't wait now! and will definately pollinate her with something lol

I had some roadrunner auto's gifted to me. This is the first time I've ever run auto's and they haven't finished yet so I won't knock them till the end. In the meantime, I'm watching them do what they do and hoping for the best. At a month old, they're about 4" in height and flowering. One of them has begun to shoot up fast and is about 5.5" tall though so I may yet be impressed. I'm running them in blaze's ffof/ffhf soil blend. It seems a little hot, but they're thriving. My veg is down so I'm running them on a 12/12 instead of a 20/4. Anyone know if this will alter their time to finish? Thanks!

Will alter everything and give you less yield Twisted.

Also by the sound of the height of you plants it sounds like they are in really small pots? I grew in tiny 1 gallon squares and mine were almost all 20 inches with 3-4 that were around 6-8 inches out of 20 but still give me 125 bucks worth of weed where I would not have had any so no real gripe from me.

The bigger the pot with autos the bigger the yield...as with every mj plant but the best is 2 gallon pots from what I gather reading.

Hope yours get bigger GL.

40amps, welcome to AF's mate. Some of your 12/12 stuff has been epic, glad to have you a-board.!

Once you actually grow some good AF's it's really hard to call them hempy.. we are farrrr from that first LR cross. Lots of work goes into an auto, good autos are fairly stable/ibl. I also agree with you, i've grown some autos that were FAR FAR better than some beans i've bought that were photo sensative.

40amps, if you want to grow massive autos hydro or coco is the only way.. that and LST. 2gal is ideal, i grow thema lot in 3 gal bags, and the smaller ones rarely use the whole bag.

Good luck with them little bangers mate. Hope to see some 40 amps shining on a sea of autos one day. :D

Edit: I thought i would chime in on the 12/12 thing. I have run alot of autos on 12/12 now. They seem to finish up sooner if you move them into the flower room in the last few weeks before chop. I honestly seen no difference in yeild, the snowryders in my gallery were all finished under 12/12. If you can do it i would recomend it, they seemed to ripen better.

I was waiting for RR #2 info (it seems everyone confuses RR#1 with RR#2 and understimates the product), nice to have some feedback 40Amps.

Peace

=K

thanks for the tips!!! My rr's are nearing their end and I'm eager to taste. The bud looks very nice and the smell of fruit loops makes my mouth water. I'm definitely gonna try another run with these and see how they finish in optimal conditions. I think my first pack was rr #1. I'll probably go with #2 next "gro" round like shafty.
