Check out the location for your city at whyprohibition.ca/freemarcrally There is an event in almost every province and state in Canada and the US, as well as across Europe and even in Shenzhen China! If you think your police are repressive, imagine throwing an protest in China!


All it takes is a few people with signs at major intersections to make a huge impact! We all owe Marc a debt for his work over the years, and we can not allow the government to forget about him!

And don't forget, the Canada-Wide rallies to stop Mandatory Minimum Sentences for marijuana, also known as Bill S-10, is on October 2! (whyprohibition.ca/s10rally) Parliament returns on September 20, and we need to remind our politicians that Mandatory Minimums do not work and Canadians do not want to spend billions on a failed, and socially destructive, policy!

.... but, he has renounced the practice of Civil Disobedience in order to get back to Canada.

"I promise to never advocate civil disobedience, or condone civil disobedience, or ever flout Canadian or US law ever again, and I accept responsibility for my actions."

Yet it seems to appear that he is using his website and spokespeople there to advocate, condone and flount on his behalf.

After reading his wife's recent anti-Harper goverment screed on the CC website, I have to ask myself the question - does marc really want to come home and serve his time in Canada and be released early or does he want to keep on playing the martyr role and serve all 5 yrs. in the USA?

Does marc want to use his continued incarceration to educate us or does he want to get out???

.. if it's to educate us, I can see where it would be useful for him to keep poking the Bear (via his website) until it finally reacts - a covert form of Civil Disobedience if you will.

So maybe I'm wrong but it looks to me like headband is saying the demonstrations are not just to free marc but to call attention to the cause - political theatre if you will.

Excellent question. What does Emery really want?

Marc seems to be a victim of his own out-of-control, attention seeking ego. He suffers from a severe case of "self-will run-riot". His nothing more than a male media-whore Paris Hilton.

The way he selected to do business, not only put his own freedom in jeopardy but, the freedom of 1000 of his customers as well.

Personally, I strongly oppose anyone going to jail for MJ. That said,
until the day comes in which it's legal to grow & smoke as one sees fit. Everyone needs to conduct themselves in a mature manner, and practice competence to protect themselves and their families from these unjust laws.

It's clear that all the money Emery was making wasn't enough to satisfy his ego. His ego wasn't going to be fulfilled until the world declared him the " Prince of Pot"

I personally have a difficult time feeling remorse for anyone guilty of falling victim to their own greed & immense egos.

All the same, I wish him the best, and hope he gets to go home soon.

I've brought this up twice, but it seems no one wants to give their opinion. So I'll try again. I've always had this feeling that the Canadian Government was behind the US charging Emery. I think they got sick of his yap and his highschool antics and wanted the circus closed down. They know they couldn't do it, so they "had" the US take care of the problem.

With that said, I have no evidence to this whatsoever. But when Canada handed him over it strengthened this feeling. When he applies to Canada and they turn him down, does this confirm my suspicions? Or does it mean nothing? Or if they accept his application does it mean nothing and they are hoping it keeps him quiet and he learned a lesson?

I do know Emerys "following" seems to be about 80 percent kids. In the US that would get sickening to adults that are trying to get things changed. It wouldn't fly here.

So, do you people see any rationale to my hunch, or is it just nonsense thinking?

Okay I might be inclined to agree with a few of your points #1 Marc has a very big mouth and yes our Gov especially Harper hated Marc and wanted him out and if you watched how the whole thing went down you would have watched Harper and Bush kissing each others asses as Chetian hated Bush..
Then the whole thing about the USA coming to Canada we did have our own laws and way of doing things we actually legalized cannabis much to the dismay of the US which asked us to STOP!!!!! and then moved in to Van BC and Toronto right accross the street from both Compassion clubs and watched everyone and proceeded to bust everyone in Canada under the DEA laws. So lets get this straight here about how all this happened here in Canada shall we! For a person who has lived here and seen it happened and watched them take all the good genetics and walk in on legal grows and tear down legal grows saying they would figure it out later. So please lets get this straight here about why Marc is so mad and why when your drug czar came here saying shit like cannabis is as bad as heroin and Marc said your FULL OF SHIT!!!
