I have a Decent room, bout 11' Width and 8ft wide and about 6' Hieght, My Fan is pretty big in there, its sucking so hard it could close my door to the room...

Is it possible that it could suck the Ac units cold air as soon as it hits my room ? Therefor Ac wouldnt be doing anything as my vortex fan is sucking the shit outta my room ?

Would something like a fan dimmer, or somthing of the sort, and crank it down half?

Looking for someone to shed some light!

That doesn't really make much sense. If you're going to exchange the air in the room that much, don't use an A/C. And if you need an A/C, seal up the room so that it actually works. It's a, one or the other, kind of thing.

Hmm, i understand the air exchange is more then i need, i guess my question is, if i cut the speed of the vortex in half, would that solve my issue?

If i seal it up, then i would then need c02 --

Why cant i use an Ac unit to cool the room, while exhausting my lights?

Ac Unit > Room

Carbon filter > Vortex > 1k > 1k > Outside the room

Sorry if im not making sense..

Suggestions ?

You need to pull air from outside the room to cool your lights, and use a carbon filter with fan to just scrub and recirculate if you have an ac. Exhausting room air with an ac on is counter productive.

Outside air>1k>1k>vortex>outside the room

Carbon filter>vortex recirculating in room

I see, Adding a fan controller/dimmer, wouldnt help then ? Or rather be counter productive, just at half the speed? =P

If you wanna make use of the ac's you will need to bring that fan down alot.
Move the ac close to where the air enters the room and cut the fan in half. Test run it for a while and adjust the fan as needed.

Thanks everyone, winter is comming up, so i could pull from a window, just hate to really have it open - going to hope depot and buying some thick plywood to attach on the inside of the room, and crack the window and pull air

Could freezing temps do anything my bulbs?

If you use a dimmer a lot of cold air would still be leaving the room. ACs work well because the same air is recirculated continuously (it's a closed system) rather than having new warm air entering the space.

Yes it'll work but it will waste money on energy since the AC will have to work harder. Might as well close it up and put the savings torward CO2.

I agree, exhausting the room and running AC is a waste. Cool the lights with outside air, run Co2 etc.

If you dont run Co2, just vent the room for a few minutes every couple hours.
