What's new

So we just started a new 6000wat room, just starting to veg. Right now the plants are between a foot or two and are not looking right.

Before we brought them into the new room they were under t5's in sunshine mix #4. Due to unfortunate circumstances they were not able to be under lighting for 2 days before bringing them to the new room. Then we brought them to the new room, where I realized my partner clearly fed them to much. While under the t5s he fed them a tea he bubbled with chicken poop. Now we transferred to 2 gallon buckets with sunshine mix and added about 10% earthworm castings.

Well they weren't doing good when we got them under the 1000watters so we tested the ppm and ph with a meter. The ph was fine(a bit over 6) but the ppms were anywhere from 1500-2000! We just flushed with a bit of h202 because we noticed the mix was not draining well and we wanted to get some oxygen to the root. The ppm is now around 300 and my partner wants to foliar feed soon because he thinks they are going to starve. What do you think is wrong and what do you think are next course of action should be. THANKS! :tiphat:

"The ppm is now around 300 and my partner wants to foliar feed soon because he thinks they are going to starve."

This is why it's hard to grow with partners. But I'm sure you know that by now. Both partners need to agree on a feeding program for your grow to succeed..
Looks like you caught the problem in time, which is a good thing.
Keep em flushed for a week or so to wash all that chicken crap out of them. Chicken shit is hot and they have been burned. They have all this in the leaves now so I wouldn't folar feed them thus adding to their rehab. Maybe use a cleansing agent like Clearx during the flush to pull all this stuff out.. He's already "loved" them enough. Then begin to feed with a medium strength nute mix to see how they react. If they are doing better hit them with a bit more. -less is more.m health
How long have they been in bloom?
What nute line are you gonna use if using nutes? ?
If using teas, do either of you have past experience with them or with organic gardening ?

Great thanks for the help! They aren't even blooming yet, still vegging out, want to get this right before we go 12/12! Not sure what nutes we are going to use yet, still trying to figure it out. :thank you:

I would not use chicken shit for what youre trying to do, I dont have much experience in organic teas but what im doing works well for me.

I have and recently harvested a few five footers strictly using FFOF to veg, the stuff is full of great organic nutes that will last for at least a month if not more, the ladies will store up all the nutes too and dont need much of anything but pure RO water with near 0 ppm and an even ph which RO water would have then you can skip the Ph buffer bullshit. If you transfer those girls into double the size pots you are using now and just use water, they should completely turn around. Its literally fool proof, esp. if I can do it.

As for teas, get a fresh batch of worm castings, I get some at my local farmers market and brew a 10 gallon batch of tea using at least five cups of castings and 2 cups or 3 cups of volcano bat high phosphor bat guano, I also use 1/2 cup of organic molasses and 1 cup grow more brand kelp extract which is awesome, I have some maxicrop seaweed extract right now which has chlorine and that kills live beneficial organisms so I dont like it for teas, I should have read the label better.

You can also add beneficial organisms aside from the ones in the guano, the molasses and extracts of kelp are food for the beasties. Dont water with tap because you can kill the beneficials. If you use RO water in everything including those teas and transfer into that Fox Farms tomorrow, your ladies will thank you for it. I would feed them with this twice a week in flower or once a week depending on how much they need. You can also brew once a week with a stronger brew if you need. good luck. See you soon

first off. the h2o2 flush couldnt have been worse for the plant, that killed all the microbes u built up with poop and whatnot..

dont ever do that stupid shit again.

next, thats a p/k def. probably because the microbes arnt around to help process it anymore.

i make all my own teas, and im baffled why u would flush with h2o2 for such a arbitrarry reason. i mean, thats not important to shit. of course its not going to drain aswell with all the particles in the teas filling the holes.
