I was wondering if anyone had any experience with Vic's super soil mix? It looks similar to LC's mix + recipe #1 from the organics for beginners thread? Any experience? tips? Here it is:

1 Bale sunshine mix #2 or promix (3.8 cu ft)
8 cups Bone Meal - phosphorus source
4 cups Blood Meal - nitrogen source
1 1/3 cups Epsom salts - magnesium source
3-4 cups dolomite lime -calcium source & pH buffering
1 tsp fritted trace elements
4 cups kelp meal.
9kg (25 lbs) bag pure worm castings

Search for Subcool's mix, it's based on Vics. But you probably will havr to ummm go to another forum to find it. RIU

It's very basic...but works.

Similar mix:

1/2 bale Pro-mix
1 bag Fox Farm Ocean Forest
1 cup bone
1 cup blood
1 cup dolomite limestone
1 cup+ earthworm castings

Same basic concept, in a much smaller quantity...

I look at these "super soil" mixes to be a good STARTING point...but not the end all.
