Round 4 8k DIY Undercurrent

Finally cleaned up everything from last round and got the new system built.

Results from last round. 5400watts. 8 girls. 8lbs. Some girls came in at 12oz and a few over 1 1/2. All was hand trimmed and took forever.

Bucket with no reflextix on lid They are 24lx19wx10h stack and tote boxes kinda like DD uses for MPB's



Fully wrapped. One layer reflex on top. 1 layer tight to container on bottom a second layer with a air gap. One layer tightly wrap gives R-4. If you add a second layer with no air gap it only makes like r-5 add a gap and you get r-7 go to there website for more info




Using some old 20 gallon botanicares I had for epicenters. 8" round air disc and "cool coil"
The cool coil is actually stainless steel immersion coil wort chiller from http://www.midwestsupplies.com/stainless-steel-immersion-wort-chiller.html

100bucks cheap then one from hydro innovations



68 so degrees so its working fine to me

pipes wraped was looing with lights in flower room on with res room lights off and the light from the hps goes right through the 3/4 return line

Pipe out of top is feed to a T which hits the chiller and the coil coil in each res. There is a ball vavle before chiller and each coil to control flow.



I did a separate return line for each coil and the chiller. They are all fed from 1 pump.



2-18,000btu acs. made a 1/2 box on the back side of the units to trap heat which is exhausted by a 10" duct booster

girls prevegging before I toss em into the buckets.

Running 2-3 site systems.6 girls total so completely sb420 compliant. each buckets holds around 11-12 gallons are connected with 3" pvc to a 3/4 return line. using a hakko 80 for my air pump and a danner 5 on each system. The epicenter is crazy with the 8"round disc while in each bucket using a single xl micropore and the water does not go crazy but instead there is like a small blanket of of coming from the micropore's

fter finishing reflectix on pipes res temps drop down 1.5 degrees with no changes on chiller temps

Cali med limit according to sb420 is 6 in flower. This I bumper my wattage up these past run need to follow the rules.

I will veg till at least 3+ feet tall. Last run vegged to 2 feet give or take couple inches and my biggest girls was around 1 1/2lbs dry. I wanna hit 2lbs+ each

Will probable take 3-4 weeks veg

So not much going on. Slight MG def quick fixed by foliar spraying with epson salt and algamic. Added a touch of epson salt to res.

Diablo OG's were show tip burn so I took 10 gallons out and let it top back up to drop the PPMs down.

Then pretty much hacked most of the fan leaves off the Diablo's and shiskaberry to slow em down to give the gods gifts a lil more time to play catch up and keep the diablos from stretching. The new growth on diablos had much closer internode spacing.

Went and bought a new toy would not thought about until Jackmayoffer metioned it in reply to a post of mine.



Leaf temps. I thought My temps were real bad but.....



Black housing on digi therms so too much heat giving a bad reading. I checked my laser therm vs a glass mercury and its maybe .5 degree off.



My humidity is too low I want 75% but averaging 45-50. I have a 3 gallon per day and a 12 gallon per day humidfiers going. Just need the girls bigger so they transpire more.pretty sure Jalisco Kid uses chart like this.



Cool coils working great. 66 temp on cold water res and both UC systems running 68ish. 1/4 HP chiller 6 sites 2 reses round 90 gallons water total



make sure not to break directional fins on window ac or they suck air right back into the return. rigged some leftover reflectix to stop that problem



she has double in a week even though I hacked all her fan leaves off

It's your standard IR thermometer, works like a laser light that reads temps at distance, they are bad ass & you will find many uses for them. His is made by Klein Tools and is a nice one, there are many rebranded ones (IE his Klein can probably found with 2 or 3 different names on the boxes), they are available everywhere nowadays.
