messed up clones

Hey guys,

I was just 'gifted/cursed' a few g13 clones, and they are not happy at all. They were in rockwool, and that's about all I know about what they've been fed, but it was for sure chem nutes..

I immediately put them into my soil mix which is just LC's #2 using sunshine growers natural and organic soil and amended with dolo lime, azomite, rock dust, rockphosphate, etc..

The stems are VERY purple and some leaf ends brown and curled, and some yellow spots that you can see from the pictures.

I was going to just start feeding fungal enhanced tea with molasses and some humic acid, but wondering if there is anything else I SHOULD do to help these girls come around..

I've never had any issues as dramatic as this, so new territory for me..

any help?

I would be inclined to apply an EWC slurry like MM has described before. I believe that the amount is something like 1 gallon of EWC to 4 gallons of water. I'd add some form of seaweed (either extract or use kelp meal tea as a base for the slurry).

From my experience I've never had a situation where EWC and seaweed of some kind didn't cause a dramatic turn-around in plants in trouble.

And like you, that's always been cuttings I've gotten from the so-called 'compassionate MMJ clinics' up in Portland.

They look fixable for sure...
Speaking of EWC I've recently had a couple troubled pots to which I topdresssed a 50/50 mix of EWC and compost, watered in and within a week things are in a FULL turn around with very notably increased vegetative growth.

I third that advice. I had a dramatic turnaround of sick seedlings recently by adding a worm castings tea.

I totally forgot the kelp, thanx.. It always slips my mind, even though it's really one of the most important.

It's funny about those 'compassion' clubs..they should aim some of that abundant compassion to the meds instead of the patients..:)

CC, what was your rate of neem seed meal for a tea using it to treat bugs instead of azomax? 1/4 cup per 5 gal?Is that ok to use with a standard tea with EWC etc?

I use about 1/2 cup of a mix of both neem as well as karanja meals to 5 gallons of water.

I can't find a definitive answer about adding neem seed meal tea to an AACT - I even had a conversation with one of the scientists from Mycorrhizal Applications about what effect, if any, neem products would have on the microbial activity in the soil.

He told me that he'd never heard of the neem tree and definitely knew nothing about the 130 agents found in these products.

Not much of an answer I know.

how long have you had them?
maybe they might need some good nutes to get out of there funk.

in lc's mix #2 there are no nutes

LC's Soiless Mix #2:
6 parts Pro Mix BX or HP / Sunshine Mix (any flavor from #1 up) / Fox Farm Ocean Forest or Light Warrior
2 parts perlite
2 parts earthworm castings
Powdered (NOT PELLETIZED) dolomite lime @ 2 tablespoons per gallon or 1 cup per cubic foot of the soiless mix

if youve had them a little bit and fed nothing but microbe teas, id suggest some fish emulsion and kelp extract for a good all around feed. or if you have a good all around 3-1-5, then use that. i dont know what you have to feed those girls but if they have only been given the tea id give them food.

I've only had them 2 days, and have given them nothing at this point. I just potted them into my soil mix at this point.

I have a tea going that's
5 gallon RO
2 cups EWC
1tbs humic acid
1tbs molasses
and a 1/4 cup of what I call "CC's seed meal mix"
Equal parts (i use a 6 cup container)
Alfalfa meal
Cottonseed meal
Linseed meal
Canola meal
Soybean meal

To those add
2 cups kelp meal
1 cup neem seed meal

and use 1/4 cup in a 5gal brew.

I was considering adding cal/mag too, but I'll just chill out and see if I can turn everything around without it.

I really appreciate everyones help.

Peace
