400w HPS in 150w ballast?

hi can anyone answer this question for me?? i'm thinking it's not advisable but doable. i have a 150w ballast but the bulb for it is shot. i also have a 400w HPS and a 400w Metal halide conversion bulb. can i use one of those for the time being. 3 or 4 days max.

no please don't set ur house on fire running improper wattages.

lowes and home depot sells 150w MH and HPS lightbulbs. Go there and tell them to show you were to get a 150w high pressure security light replacement lamp so you don't sound like you are buying a pot lamp, I think its like 8-12$ there.

Also HTGsupply.com and buisnesslights.com have every lamp you ever need if you don't wanna go to the store
