Have any pest chemicals been used? If so what and when? Neem/silica spray 4 days ago, every 4 days
Are plant's infected with pest's? Have seen 2 gnats

A few days ago the tops of these plants clawed up and the stems have become super purple. I haven't changed anything. Same water, no overwatering. No nutes. The roots are coiled or anything but the root ball is filling out nicely. Just last few days this has been getting worse.

So as they sit, they were watered a few days ago and are still damp but are drinking some water.

Any help would be appreciated

The G13haze plants (pictured) are the worst but the lvpk isnt loving it either. The BBK is somewhat stalled but doesn't have this pronounced curl.

Transplanting up to #3's with fresh soil seems like it would make the most sense at this point

Hi George, I'm working with versions of Lc's with Sunshine, and am seeing this look a lot, and am putting it down to sulfur/mag defs. I see it when they start to run out of soil or when I give too much water and have excess runoff by mistake - watering while baked I think they call it. They always come back to beauty when repotted, but as they go deficient so fast they may get a little worse for a couple days first. Lately I'm watering with epsom salts, trying to find the right levels, and am currently going with 1tea/gal (plus Yelm ewc and kelp extract) in all waterings, except the first couple maybe in new soil. Now that I am doing this they are definitely not looking like they are suffering, but it seems like they grow so fast in veg I can't keep up, so am repotting as a way to get out of any shortages until I find a level where they are showing some other shortage, like N, first. I am repotting frequently, with jumps of a gallon or two in size, and am trying this approach through flower as they seem so much happier in fresh soil. Last run I repotted late in flower out of freakout desperation and it wasn't the end of the world - worried about N levels though, when potting too late. Trying to figure out the timing.

Thanks for the response.... I can relate to watering or pruning when high :D I have lime/oyster shell flower/gypsum in my mix to nadle cal/mag/sulpher. But as you said, as the soil runs out it might become an issue.

When I think, okay I have a 8 inch x 16 inch plant in 1/2 gallon of soil is sounds obvious but the container is bigger than that so it looks correct. lol I need to fill my starting pots more but guess what? I was high lol

I just dragged a bunch of soil down to the room and am going to re pot them. I figure no matter what's wrong with them a good first step is some fresh soil/legroom/and water.

Just want to make sure this isnt a toxicity or lockout issue., It could be lockout but then it would have to be because the soil's depleted. I flushed them once about 2 weeks ago because it seemed like they might burn and that might have washed the shit out of the soil

Overwatered looking to me.

Maybe a pH problem too? Tap can be high locking out shit...

Go get a tester/test kit...anything above 7 needs to be fixed. My tap is 8.5, sometimes 9 and it kills plants...

The flushing thing seems to do that thing for sure. I've seen white powder dolomite in the runoff when I've done that.

Since you are doing no pH testing at all I would first look to that.. the water dept. could have easily changed your water. I would get a soil probe and some pH drops (even better a pH pen) to check your water.

I did check PH most of the year with my meter. The batteries went dead and were $20 to replace lol. Growing organic I took it on faith and stopped PHing my water. Has worked wonderfully. I am well buffered with lime to prevent my PH from rising above 7.

I just transplanted them all with new soil and gave them a very light watering in. I really never have problems with overwatering.

The water here is 7.5ph and very low PPM and has been treating me right. I'll grab some batteries or a test kit and check the PH again.

I wonder if the water company switches sources this time of year. I wasn't growing here last year at this time.

Lime will keep your pH from dropping too low, but will do nothing to keep it from going high.
Calcium Carbonate has a pH around 9.0
