What's new

whats everyone think? still got a few weeks left

Yeah, you got a few weeks left. For the most part, don't harvest anything before October. Some go till the end of October..some even go into November. Just not up north, weed stops growing when the temps drop too low.

And cute little puppy!

Same here, I have a GG3 that is close to finishing but some leaves are rotting, some calyxes look "watered out". It would take a couple of more weeks to finish...cut or rot?

It is like the holidays are coming with all this talk of finishing and harvest. Next you will be seeing Christmas decorations at the retailers.

sorry to hear about the mold problem fellas that shit is a real P.I.T.A to have....when i did outdoor the past year i had mold and alot of water on the plants , i kept shaking them after the rain finished but early cold nights suck for sure...........if you get a spot of mold or two just remove as much of the infected plant matter as possible and let the rest go ..just keep an eye on the girls for any mold...and good luck everyone

what do you guys think about drying outside? i dont really have a place to dry in my house but i do have a barn, i bought one of those drying racks that has the zipper for each level and i was gonna dry in my 2nd floor of the barn. any opinions?
thanks!

Stop watering the plants that are Indicas or large budded.
I got bad mold on my Deep Chunk, tried green cure but it was too late.
I have never had mold before, only on plants that had been chewed on, then shit on, by caterpillars.
The Mandala website has some good stuff on avoiding mold.
If your buds are tightly packed you can cut out a small to medium portion of the bud to let the morning moisture out. Lose a small bud to save the whole plant. Then spray a little alcohol on the nearby part of the cola.

Once again Mandala's new site is a good read. just wear gloves and change them after touching a molded bud.

And stop watering them!

the barn should work fine. if you can manage to get power out there, hook up a fan. hopefully the outside temps will stay cool & dry for you!

im getting paranoid too, but it happens every year. temps start dropping and everyone goes nuts. im not gonna let it get the best of me this year though, im leaving my plants out until the very end.

been checking them carefully, but unfortunately i can only see them like 2 times a week.

for the most part, humidity hasn't been an issue for me here in the northeast, but were starting to get some rain now. I just try and go out and shake the buds dry.

Getting a lot of morning dew on my plants that makes me nervous... no bud rot yet, no signs of it even starting, but between the fear of rippers, mold, etc... these next few weeks can't go by fast enough.

strain selection and pruning technique can cure that mould problem for you so that its not really a big issue anymore.

strains with an open structure perform better than branchier strains. christmas tree shapes result in each branch being exposed to light and air, while branchy indica type growth has internal branching and budding that hardly ever recieve any light and may stay wet until the afternoon after a rain.

Pruning off lower,(in june), north side branches that recieve less and less sunlight as the sun lowers in the sky come sept-oct. Internal branches cut from indica type plants in june doesnt really effect yield in sept and spreading out/tieing down the remaining branches exposes all branches to air/sun. and the tendency to mould will be reduced.

im just sayin...
