1.grow a pack of ten..clone each plant...throw all the males way...

2.get the best mother..gorw her out..and then clone her and throw the original plants..

3.veg these clones...clone THEM..and flower...

4.Veg new clones...flower....veg the nes clones..flower..etc..

Bascially...clone each resulting generation

i've done this 3 times in the chain for a NL, flower/reveg/clone 3 times
looked exactly in the last flower as the first, disease/pests seem to be the enemy here, not genetic weakness

Thanks men...so grow them right,,veg them so as to get a single clone off each plant for the next grow..then flower?...no problem? How many times can this be done..I dont want a mother plant..or all that...

My buddy does this and it always looks great. He just takes the healthiest looking clones from a fairly wide selection between 72-100 plants. The issue with keeping only a single mother is that if it becomes weakened, diseased etc... then you have nothing to fall back on. This way if anything happens at least you're pulling from a fairly wide pool, most of which should not be affected. The important thing is to only clone the best looking plants. I haven't seen any issues and he's gone more than 10 or 12 cycles with one strain and this same system. He doesn't keep moms anymore.

If it's a strain that I don't run that often I keep small moms, which I keep growing slowly under T-5'S or 400's. I replace these every 3-6 months.
