You might find it difficult to find a male to breed with in a feminized seed pack.. lol Otherwise,, sure it's possible to use feminized plants as parents ,,, as shown below :D

its all about selection. if you have an amazing plant from femmed seeds then its worth trying to breed with, it certainly works.

We wouldn't advise it,, we're just avant garde

For the future,, then breed with normal / regular plants IMO :canabis:

Yeah, well I haven't a clue what you guys are chatting about.

I'd love to understand. Can anyone share details or a link to the details?

:thank you:

He's talking about breeding using feminized seeds. Say guy feminises his favorite clone girl, using STS or CS. She will throw a few male flowers within her buds, these male flowers are used to pollinate another female, resulting seed will be femmed. Grow out these femmed seeds and pollenate the resulting girls with a diff male. Hope that makes sense for ya BRA

doc, after speaking with many breeders, A lot advice against it, but to say breeders arent doing is it a lie. Ive heard from some that there are neg consequences when breeding with fems and also heard of others have no issues. I would assume its genetic variant depending on the origin of the genetics. Im sure theres much more science to it but i dont know

not much incentive for a breeder to encourage you to make your own seeds using any method. bit like asking a baker if you should bake your own bread :D

the last thing i want to make is "femmed" seeds!!
i used a normal male plant to pollinate a femmed clone, the fem clone was subject to four weeks of "stress" to see if she hermied!,2 of her contemporarys did(different pheno though). The union resulted in just 12 seeds!!!(well she was stressed!!).As this only a sideline project i only planted 5 of the seeds (just to assess hermie tendentcies and to see if id get reg seeds out of it).Needless to say i had 3 come up and r now at about 5 weeks old,all showing that so far they are all females!!!,sort of buggers up the theory that i may get reg seeds out of it,i was really hoping for at least one male!!ill keep everybody posted ...kg beans

For some strains that I'd like to preserve in seed form I'm considering using femmed seeds for a port of the operation. First start some femmed to guarantee there will be some females going. Then after several weeks start a number of regular seeds. This way after males have shown flowers and they have ripened, a number of females will be ready with a profusion of sticky styles ready to catch that pollen.
