I was wondering if anyone has any experience using the lucas formula in promix? How good did it work? What did you ph it to? Did you need to add cal/mag? I will be using tap water. I usually water every 4-6 days.

I used lucas in promix, my first indoor run and a run about a year ago. I watered at 1/3 strength lucas formula per watering. I suggest adding some lime to the mix and perlite. I ph'ed to 6.0, ideally 5.8 would have been best but most find with promix it pays off to lean to the high side.

Of course with younger plants I did not feed them 1/3 strength, I did not follow the lucas formula exactly. Instead, I achieved my desired ppm in 3 equal feedings.

IE:

I want my clones to be around 350ppm @.5, I would feed 350/3, so aorund 120ppm per watering. Make sure you get some runoff when you water, and occassionally test your runoff to get a snapshot of what is going on inside the medium.

I do reccomend blazeoneups soil mix if you are looking for ease, and it does sound like you are trying to keep it simple. Blazeoneup's mix, you add water only and harvest healthy vigorous crops. The occassional enhancer doesn't hurt in this mix but you could go non ph'ed plain water the whole crop.

good luck

I've been trying to get some info as well. Tried using 5/10 and just using water for every third feeding. Also tried 3/6 every feeding, seemed better, used just water for last 2-3 feedings (about one week). I'm thinking maybe I should do a couple flushes to clear the salts build up at week 3 and 6, I usually finish at 9. I've had very good results but encounter heavy yellowing starting around week 4 or 5. I'm starting to wonder if I should use some of the grow in the first few weeks. I'd really like to hear other peoples scheduale as well.
