Hello bro, dunno which strain exactly the doctors meant, but you should check out BOG's gear I always hear good stuff about it being good meds. Sourbubble or SourLifesaver for example..

EC..sorry for you pain Bro..I am chronic 24/365 so I understand. I also am rather current on the news and new developements in the Med field and I haven't heard this. Hopefully someone will chime in here with more on this strain for us.
I can tell you I've tried many, and I mean to stress many, but not quite all of them yet in the past 25 years...they all help me cope with my pain and phycological issues, MJ diverts my mind to other things than my pain, but as for relieving the pain...I think for now our type nero problems may not be in the relm of having the pain lessened by cannabis use..at least mine isn't. Keep in mind it affects everyone differently though! Lets pray for a breakthrough..DD

Hey dd,yah i agree that mj alone dont cut the nerve pain....Smoke for me works, like you said. as a diversion so im not as apt to compulse over the pain so much...
When i was at the doc's they were telling me of a strain that specificly worked on cervical nerve pain, wish id written the name down...Think it had something to do with someone involved with the berkly patients group...:tiphat: Maybe ill call the doc and try to retrieve the info so i can pass it round...pleasant day to all.....E.C/out

Try lavender. It works a treat.

Also, edibles and Tinctures are going to work the best for chronic pain. Smoking/vaping don't compare.

Best thing for nerve induced neck pain, is a hand towel, folded into a 3" X18", soaked, rung out just a little, so it doesn't drip, then frozen, put it in a thin plastic bag, and then, as it begins thawing, mold it to fit around the neck. and refreeze it in that shape.

you might want to do 2 of them, so you will always have one frozen.

of course vaporizing, along with, always makes it a pleasant experience

it will quiet muscle spasms in neck nerve induced pain, and spasms, in arms, shoulders, back, front.

You can use the frozen towel method alternated with one of the microwaveable hot packs, that seems to help me with my shoulder injury.

I don't think its the strain you're talking about, but Snowcap really helps me when I'm hurting. It's pretty heavy and will put me out unless I just toke a lil bit. Still looking for something that will help the pain and not put me to sleep.

Herijuana is good for pain, if you can find it. Hash and other concentrates is good too. And these is good in edibles too. Mr Nice' Medicine Man has some vicious phenos for pain too.. but as doobie says it can hard finding something tht really kills it. like opiods do for example.

I use Lavender for my pain. I have chronic (24/7) headaches, degenerative disk disease in my neck and lower spine, and a dessicated disk in my neck.

It works okay. Sometimes it works very well, but much of the time it doesn't do much more than help me to function. It's a great all-around smoke for me, and I haven't found a strain yet that works better, but it's no magic bullet unfortunately.

I'm intensely interested in the new high-CBD stuff in Cali, really want to get my hands on that and see how it works!

Cannabis helps with taking less pain perscription, and aiding in its effects in taking away pain. As oppose to it being a strickt pain killer its self. Now it does have anti inflamatory properties which ease up on the nerves and veins going into our neck and limbs. As we know when they are pinched it hurts bad!

I enjoy Kush's, OG kush, Bubba Kush. Romulan, Black Dominia, Grapefruit (sativa good day smoke) Purple Kush. Best of luck.
