What is this strain?

I was given this strain as a gift. I had to swear up and down to never ever give it away/share with anyone the genetics. I have no idea why it's special, but the breeder (I was told) charges an arm and a leg for these genetics.

Well, anyway, I have a mother of it. I am running my first grow from her children.

This plant is very interesting so far. Leaves are sort of indica like, but the stretch of the plant is very Sativa.

The most interesting thing about this is the buds. I was shown a picture of what it looks like on a mature plant before harvest. Now that I am seeing it in action its really cool looking. Nothing like anything I have grown before. Its like the leaves grow like a cup or pocket, and white trichomes ontop of trichomes ontop of trichomes on the edges if the bud leaves. Its like 2-3 milimeters of pure trichomes on the edges of all the leaves. Very neat.

Anyway, here are a few pictures. Hopefully someone knows what it is.

Hopefully the end result is a great quality vape. :)

P.S. Week 5 of flower (day 40).

Looks like Deep Chunk or maybe Bubba Kush, most likely DC though :canabis:

Putting all it's frost on the leaf at an early stage.....low calyx to leaf ratio. Lot's of types do the leaf curl with the calyx to leaf ratio thing like that. I have a Mazar that does it but builds better flowers and a Hawaiian x Cotton Candy that does it too.....What say about that H x CC SOTF420?

Also, one important detail you left out and that is what does it smell like? Pretty sure it's DC wonder why the person you got it from would not tell you what it is? Thats silly.

To me it looks like Mandala's Ganesh that has been heat-stressed. Why is it so small?.....SC

Shouldn't be heat stress day/night temps 81-69f. Yes, very small. I tried going direct to 12/12 from clone. This strain didn't perform well with that. Next round I am thinking of veging to 10 inches and then flip.

Has a sweet musky smell. Maybe almost creamy sweet? Yeah, I agree on the silliness. It was a gift. Hopefully it lives up to the hype. If not, no harm no foul. All fun.

Thanks for the feedback everyone.

The real old Bubba Kush is a really small plant with low yields. It does look like DC though, and DC is leafy like that with the same exact trich pattern on leaf edges.

The mother is big. The leaves are 4-5 fingered. Very wide like all thumbs. Also the leaves are thick. Grows very rapidly. It looks almost identical to my GDP mother, yet enough of a difference to tell them apart. It looks nothing like my green crack, Hindu kush/skunk#1, blue dream, or PK.

Ok just went and smelled again. That creamy/sweet smell is sort like chocolate. Chocolate with a hint of pine, slightly spicy. I am getting convinced it's deep chunk. Thank you very much for the help.

not to sound like a pain but.. where's that sativa stretch you are talking about?

seems pretty typical of indicas that aren't vigourless
