I am currently thirty two days into flowering on my current grow. So I thought it was time to start a diary here on Icmag, my very first diary here in fact
So, Welcome, and feel free to chip in with any comments, criticisms, questions and whatever else you want to throw into the melting pot.
My grow is small, a tiny wardrobe of about two square feet space, and five foot headroom, minus lights!
I use a single lamp, a 250 HID, alternating HPS and MH. Under it I place four plants, all in 6.5 Litre pots of English potting compost. I use Plant Magic "Oldtimer range" Bloom, and pretty much nowt else. No Epsoms, no boosters no nothing .... No need for 'em.
My grow is for Medicinal weed, mainly. I have chronic pain due to spinal disease, and live on Morphine and multiple cardiac meds (dicky ticker, too). I smoke blow to take my mind off the pain, and in that it works really well. However, it does bugger all to kill any pain, which is a pity. I've tried loads of strains down the years, but never found any pain killing cannabis yet. And I've been smoking dope for over forty years! Been growing it on and off since 1970. My current (indoor) grow has been full time, without a break for the last twelve years now.
The best plant I've grown so far is an old clone-alone line grown locally, called "Sheffield Blues, just "Blues", or even "Livers" (Don't ask, I haven't a clue!). Its not the strongest knock-down type of weed, its more an old school weed, lifts the mood, turns your ears on to music like never before, and makes colours so much more vibrant; that kind of pot! Reminds me of my youth, back in the sixties and early seventies. Here are a couple of photos of bud sites, taken on day 30 ....
The plant on the left is the clone-alone "Sheffield Blues". The one on the right is a plant grown from some seeds. I got five. Three were male, and I selected one of the females on the basis of her vigour and aroma in veg. My small scale means I have to use radical selection!
I don't grow from seed too often, I prefer to grow clones from my various Mother plants, which have all been selected for Therapeutic impact. I have Oldtimes, an Oldtimes Back-cross, Smile (2 phenos at the moment), and Killer Skunk Mums.
So thanks for dropping by and reading all this - don't be shy to comment if you want to.
