Kens GDP

I finally gave in to the hype around Kens Grandaddy Purple and drove down to Kens GDP Collective to buy a sample. i paid $50 for an eighth. The buds came in a cool tin with a clear lid and looked amazing. Almost solid purple, very dense, sticky, and covered in orange hairs. Needless to say I was excited so I immediatly rolled a fatty. The first thing I noticed as I broke it up was the distinct smell of uncured fresh pot. It was hard to get the joint burning at first and when it did get started it wanted to run. The taste reminded me of midgrade outdoor and the high was a joke. I smoked the whole eighth in 2 days with my girlfriend and never got more than a faint buzz.Every time we smoked a bowl we kept asking each other how weed this mediocre could be so popular. Needless to say Im very dissapointed and wouldnt buy more. Im sure it would have been better with a proper cure but for $50 an eighth I shouldnt have to age it first!

Hmm.. Must have been a horrible batch, or one that got messed up along the way and sold anyways. The Ken GDP I've had is actually nice and strong, it brings you deep into a nice all surrounding indica high with some body buzzing in the background. It is actually decently strong medicine, when done right. I have had some Purple Kushes (NOT including LVPK) that look great, taste great, but really has not much of a high at all, like weed with no head change and only a light stone on the body. However the GPD's get me really fucking stoned and way out there in lala land.

I wonder if the plant you are smoking got stunted during flower and never put on the real thc production, or if it was a similar purple strain, but not GDP? Dunno, but there are seriously cuts and finished bud of GDP that rock my world. The sample you tried doesn't seem on par with it at all.

Unless you are smoking that same weak potency NO-Head change Purple Kush I got a couple times, then I completely agree with the report. But GDP should be a lot stronger, especially if its from Ken.

No, its definitly the Ken's Granddady Purple. Indoor topshelf from Ken's GDP Collective. My guess (and im only speculating) is that Ken's is seling so much of the stuff because of the hype that they are rushing things to keep up with demand. Premature harvest + no cure=poor quality.

That's what I was thinking. I've had smoke from a properly grown Ken's GDP cut, as well as hash from it, and it's strong cannabis. More of an indica space out/room feels bigger around your feelings. Really puts you back into a larger headspace/room feeling.

Either a premature harvest, or the plant got stunted during flowering at some point and was harvested anyways, while having stunted or terrible thc production.

Bomb ass herb gets you high even if it's early with a cure or no cure, it's usually just way more racy with less body.

I think you seen some shitty grown grandaddy purple, So shitty grown that the smell wasnt even there...

thats defently a grower issue. Great cannabis can be grown like shit. It's not as easy as people think it is to get AAA bud every time you pop a seed.

I guess I shouldnt write off Kens GDP yet since you all like it so much here. Maybe I'll find room in my next grow for a couple cuttings and see if I can do it some justice.

i would grow it if i were u its not the best yielderr but quality is top notch. if u want the best grow it urself. excelant nightime bed weed imo.
