The water coming ot of my tap is at 80 ppm
That being said, I assume I can use it for my dwc setup as long as I keep some buckets in the room opened as to release the chlorine.
But being at 80 ppm would I still want to add cal mag?

PPM is low, so you may need it. Check with your plants. If they show signs of deficiency...than you may have to add it. It can be quite strain specific. Most hydro nutes have plenty of cal-mg in them...so you just have to wait it out and see.

Check with your water company if they still use chlorine, most municipalities have switched to chloramine long ago.Chloramine is more stable than chlorine,it will not boil off or evaporate.Water filtration is the best way to eliminate chloramine.

Well I am going to be using pbp I know that's for a different forum but wasn't getting much response in the o.h. Forum

So then I guess it might not be a bad idea then

Like was suggested. If it isn't broke, don't try to fix it. Read the plant and only add if you need to. Excess mag at harvest can really make your smoke taste bad, and not burn to well either. Flushing regularly can help prevent this from being a problem at harvest. Here is a great thread to help you diagnose plant problems, http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=11688

chloromine/chlorine are fine and won't affect your plant. 80 ppm is good tap water for growing Cannabis. Make sure to adjust the pH and you're good to go!

My tap water is pH 7.1 and 36 ppm and I don't use calmag with good results in hydro and coco.
