What's new

Does this look ready to pull?

First time grower and didn't know when to start timing. I'm growing outdoors. Saw first pistols on july 11. this is a purple diesel plant and I was told it has an 8 week flowering period. I got a magnifying glass to look at the trichs and it's hard to see. The hairs have changed on a lot of the plant. Included are some pics so you guys can give your opinion. I think I'm getting close.

she started flowering early, lucky !! my deez really swells at the end, let them go longer if poss !!

I got 5 romulan plants around her that started a little later and still have a few weeks to go. I'll let her go a little longer. I'll post more pics next weekend and see how we're doin.

If you are comfortable theres no chance of rippers, I'd let it go longer and swell, but if you are worried about rippers I would trim some just so its not a total loss if its found. Been there and done that!
Looks good tho,
good luck

with the naked eye I can see all the white trichs. would the amber color not be visible with the naked eye, or with the macro function on the camera?

Naked eye isn't going to work. 30x jewelers loop. Trust me. You will see.

I have 3 pairs of these now as I won't touch weed without inspection anymore. I have found pm on weed from very reputable dispensaries.

I don't think trichomes can be seen with the naked eye.

ok, I ordered a 30x loupe last night. should be here this week. I'm not too worried about rippers. I have my fences locked up so they would have to jump my fence to get to them. I'll let them go a little longer

Trichomes cant be seen with the naked eye? Huh? I can see them. While I may not be able to determine their color or cloudyness, I can certainly see them! Secondly, you don't need a jewelers loupe or scope to determine if a plant is ready to be harvested.

All you need are eyes better than a skunk. :D

They are fun tools but not a necessity.

That is all! :tiphat:

Good luck with your harvest navyguy, look forward to pics! And Yes, you can see the trich color with a decent camera, my 10 Mega Pixel picks them up rather well. But I dont base my harvest date around trich color, more so calyxe swell and overall appearance.

Lookin good navyguy. My neighbor caught some rippers trying to get over my fence, got the tent up outback now. I pulled one of my early ones last weekend, It could have gone a couple weeks longer. I needed some medicine and was afraid it would get stolen.

that's a good idea with the tent. it's a good deterrent. I'll try that one out. there were a couple comcast cable guys looking over my fence a couple weeks ago from the neighbors house. I guess I should take a little more precaution now that they are getting close. I know I have a couple pounds out back and I would hate to lose all that time and money invested.
