the conclusion of a small LST

been a little while between grow logs, thought i'd toss up a mini log
9 weeks of flower for this nl#5, this was a LST under 78w of cfl's
not bad for 78w(in my opinion), pot size is 2 gallons for a sense of size
this is my 3rd run of an original mother, 2nd reveg/clone cycle
good quality, but takes 12 weeks of flower to get her where i need, which is too long
so i dusted a few lower buds with with some Cali-O pollen, a few seed pods are showing
so her genetics will live on, but probably the last run of a good but slow ripener

just enough for a good smoke out, god the wait on this strain is long
it was interesting for the 1st few weeks of smoking, just like some other experiences i saw posted, a 'hold on to the chair for dear life' kind of rush

week 10

week 10

week 10, this strain has become an old friend at this point, no surprises
i've scoped out the seed pods, looks like a half dozen or so, perfect number for me
the paint brush technique for pollination was a great method, much recommended
now on to the pic, at the left upper pic side, you'll see a brown tip of a cola
cfl burn, cooked that upper tip good, cfl's will burn, there's your proof
this profile shows the main cola, it's in front and down low
i bent it a few inches off the soil level, really pulled it down
it's a bit tough to see, but it's quite solid

week 11

week 11

one more week of flower to go, she needs 12 weeks to be 'tame' enough
the 2 small buds that i dusted(cali-o) are showing brown seeds peeking out from their pods
pic is from inside the grow chamber, main cola is at bottom center, and still has plenty of green

12 weeks and she's done

12 weeks and she's done

so the cut has happened, my best LST so far, just short of a 100 grams wet weight
which is adequate for my needs, thought i had a bit more, but the scale doesn't lie
LST does up the bud count, but not the weight
but i think i prefer the smaller bud, less mold risk
here's what she looked like just before the slasher caught her

Nice - good work! any guesses as to what the dry weight will be? I also am growing NL and I'll probably be using about 75 to 100w of cfl during flowering.

i think just under an oz, 26/27 grams dry, just enough for my evenings, it is pretty potent
good luck with your grow, it can be done, NL seems to take well to micro setups

Thanks everyone for the comments and info. I'm not sure what I'll do. All five seeds have popped and sprouted. I checked some threads and it's true, they can go a long time, up to 12 weeks. Maybe I'll try a couple later with the hopes of getting one female.
