So i have 1 cut off a jock horror, and now I'm starting to think that mother was a freak/mutant. First the mom turned out to be a male yet this ones into flowering about 4 weeks. Now I just noticed 2 days ago that one branch had alternating budsights that grow about 50% purp hairs. At first I thought mold because it stands out so much from the rest of the plants but upon further inspection the purple seems to come right from the stem. Now this is way to early for the hairs to be turning color, but I'm thinking I might want to clone that branch although my clone rates are horrible. Anyway has ne1 seen this before I'm assuming it's just a mutant but have never experience something like this before.
How can this happen?

I cant really picture what your talkling about.Any chance you can post a pic of it?
I'll try but it's unlikely but basically looks like other colorful strains just half the pistils are deep purple half are white, but this is only on one branch, and as far as I no purple isn't associated with jock horror.

Same thing happened with one of my Ace Panamas. Some of ACE Panamas have red pistils, but I grew this cut outside last year and didn't have any red pistils. With mine I had some purpling on the smallest leaves at the budsites, but just part of the leaf not all, and some of the pistils are deep reddish purple. Thought it was weird just happening on one branch.
Its not that unusual to have a plant with a odd branch or 2. Ive had several over the years that show a varigated leaf design or some purpling - sometimes the growth looks differnt.
Unless there's something very special about the plant, i probably wouldnt use it as a parent or mother. It has some instability and birth defects,(the odd coloring)
