I'd go to like 1966 and find Jimi Hendrix playing in the Village or New Jersey or something and warn him he was going to be murdered by his manager at Monika Dannemann's. It'd be like "Hey Jimi - I'm from the future and I have some heavy things to lay on you..." Of course I would take enough genetics with me to blow everyone's mind for all time.
Why go back and go to school? You get to take your knowledge with you. You already know everything that will happen...make some big money from that...and have fun. Or give something to the world early by "inventing" it. Become a world adviser...since you know what happens...you could prevent a few things...and make things better. People would think you're a genius. You'd have fame and respect and everything that goes with it.
What I'd like is to travel freely through time. I pick a time/place and I'm there. I'd like to see all the historical moments personally...and see what REALLY happened. Not the made up bullshit that the "winners" write about it. See what Jesus REALLY said. See if Muhammad REALLY talked to God. See if global warming really IS real and man made. See where Barry was REALLY born. Stuff like that...

I thought we were trying to GET BACK the lost genetics of the past? I'm confused. I've NEVER smoked any recent weed like the golden (yellow actually) shit we had in the 70's. It REALLY was "tripping weed". I've never had anything close since. Apparently some strains have 5% that is like that...I haven't found it yet...
But yes...warn Jimi...I'd have loved to hear more from him...

Absolutely would I propagate the best genetics from that time too. It would be the best of the past and the future right now in the present. How strange would it be to have all that future knowledge to draw on back then? The possibilities are unlimited.

youd only have to go back a few decades for that,

I'd go back to 1978 and beat the stuffing out of the people from NORML who got caught tooting cocaine in the White House. Those assholes were the proximate cause of keeping the war on some drugs going for the last 32 years. Oh yes, I'd also put a bunch of money into the stock market too.
