same here and samething with two other growers i know not one of us was able to find a
DJ short blueberry that was even worth running alot of popcorn just super disappointment

Funny? i grew DP blueberry based on people saying how good it was, and like i said it sucked,(for my grow), on this thread many people hate DP blueberry and some like it. The pheno thing, some lucky, many not. I also grew 2 packs of DP strawberry and 1 plant was killer, some of the best ever, all the others were hay.

Also, I forgot about TH Seeds "Buku" It was awful. It was described as the "fastest flowerer" but turned out to be a tall Sativa that took forever to finish. It was nothing as described.

Going by your wording, sounds like you only grew a single female out. Phenos man, phenos... Some are throw away bad and some are the real deal like advertized. For example, I bought a pack of white castle beans from Nirvana last year, grew out all of them, three phenos were some of the best bud I've smoked in my life, one of the phenos was that elusive vicks menthol pheno. Just wonderful weed. That being said, The other pheno was just trash weed. Not potent, nothing like the others, weak, no aroma, low taste etc. The others were killer though, so what I'm getting at, is, you should get a full pack of beans and grow out several phenos of a strain before deciding a it sucks. You were just unlucky with that pheno, the Buku is good weed just gotta grow the right pheno. :)

G Bomb .....LOADS of healthy leaves.....not many buds
Trainwreck.....over rated
White widow - WAY over rated

I take it that the TW, WW, and HG came from Greenhouse Seeds. Was it one of the assorted femmed five packs?:coffee:

Yes
They were from Greenhouse seeds.
I'm not a big fan of greenhouse seeds.
So many people think they are great but I don't.
I'm a DNA genetics fan myself:dance013:

You should try the real Trainwreck (Arcata), it's one of those OMG strains. You smoke a bit and then... OMG this is killer! The GH version of trainwreck is not the same. I haven't seen anyone who is happy with GH's TW. I'm a big DNA fan too, they have some good genetics. Only thing I was disappointed in by them was those skunk crosses they were giving out for free, but everything else I've grown and smoked by em has been top notch. A friend of mine is growing out the Sour Cream, lookin forward to tryin a bit of it.

If you smoke the real White Widow which is now Black Widow I doubt you'd feel the sameway about it. WW has a unique heavenly high that is just fantastic. Impossible to not like imo. Check out Mr. Nice, they have the real genetics, I think they're getting some BW back in stock soon along with Medicine Man! Cant wait!

Yeah i was REAL real disappointed with the trainwreck.
I'd heard such rave reviews about how dank and awesome it was. When I grew her she well but the potency just wasn't there. Taste was so so. It was just so disappointing for me.
I grew about 4 of their strains and felt the same way.
WAY over rated.

I know that there is some good white widow out there. DoubleJJ is growing a great version of WW but I am not sure where he got his seeds from. I guess I could ask....lol

Oh you tried that other companies skunk cross freebies and weren't too impressed? Thats too bad but as far as i am concerned they send them out as freebies so i am not too upset. They have to try them out somehow and sending out freebies is a great way to get honest reviews.

There hasn't been a *NA strain that I haven't liked.
I'm growing some of their strains outdoors this year and am EXTREMELY impressed with the strains pest and disease resistance. One strain i had got all kinds of leaf septoria and these girls weren't the least bit infected.
Now THAT is excellence in my opinion.

PLUS their CHOCOLOPE is one of my number # strains of all time.
She is a difficult grower. Not an easy strain to grow.
But oh so worth the extra efforts.:jump:
THANKS for the tips.
I will check them out.
I've read all kinds of awesome things about Mr. Nice seeds but haven't yet tried them out but definitely WILL.
Next year i have 20 strains to grow so will be VERY picky.

For me, the worst ever for growing was Dutch Passion Orange Bud. Hermied in the best of growing conditions. Too many hermies to even consider keeping.

The worst for effect was Blue Cheese. Over priced from a dispensary and the potency sucked for me. Although, I do have a particular love of hybrids for effect, but Blue Cheese just sucked even as an Indica for me.

Yes!!!

Guerilla`s Gusto from Sensi Seeds..

Till now, i mean today..there`s only preflowers, without hairs even.

One month under CFL+13 weeks under the sun.

Got four, any of them is in the flowering...just like for beggining of a septmber.

Still growing, new leaves, new stems, but no flowers.

2m approx they have.

uh may i ask why in the world you'd bring them inside so early in the growing season and if you have why only cfl's why not a real light like a 1000 watt light or so my very first grow at 17 was a cabinet grow lined with fluros i was a kid and boy i thought i had this shit figured out i had more weight in seeds than meds maybe got 1/4 ounce all together

FD Early Durban really bummed me out - taste was nothing like the original bay area durban, though the yield was nice.

A few years ago I picked up Swerve's fake Chem D cut at a now-defunct club in LA for $$$, before the real cut had been widely circulated - now that was a fookin' letdown.

Kind of misunderstanding, i hope.

From seed , under CFL(1month) and into the ground.

There they are stay since 13 weeks.

Since 25 may, exactly.

Mr. Fantastic

I love GH's trainwreck, plain and simple it is everyones favorite. I hear people complain all the time about how they didn't like a strain, then you will read others you had great results and loved it. I have seen poorly grown versions of great strains and superbly grown versions of mediocre strains. The chronic from serious was a disappointment for the price, but would suit a cash cropper very well. Satori from Mandala was a bit of a disappointment as well. It hermed when no other strains in the room did, and it was a bit lackluster in terms of potency. There are a few phenos that have really exotic aromas and flavors but they are all low yielding.

This is extremely presumptious and incorrect.
I have met many others who felt the same way about trainwreck.
There was so MUCH hype about it just like the White Widow but for some experienced growers, they just didn't cut it.
It certainly IS NOT everyone's favourite

Here is a pic of how well she was grown
Looks dank, sticky and tasty but it just wasn't all it was jacked up to be (FOR ME)
This was not a poor grower situation
But you are correct in that to each their own...;)

Just more reason to hate Greenhouse...

Why doesn't the Bou or the Bay offer DNA anymore? I could have swore months or years back that Gypsy offered that line?

I'm guessing a falling out?

Of the GHS I've sampled WW, WR, El Nino, Big Bang, Cheese, Lemon Skunk and Himalaya Gold (Trainwreck rotted in the peat pellet, but that was my fault). Lemon Skunk would be the only one I would try from them again. Everything everyone else has said about the other other strains has been my expieriance as well.
