C99 Tastes !?

I have one phenotype that tastes like wild strawberry and one with that "famous" (i dont like it) grapefruit aroma.

Im interested in which phenotypes of C99 are around out there and from which generation or breeder they are.

you can get a few acidic fruit aroma in c-99 , in the lineage the grim bros used the sensi shiva skunk pineapple pheno at some point .

i would holy grail a strawberry c-99 if potent !

describe the strawberry pheno please, sativa or indica leaning ?

who's the breeder produced the seeds ?

My Strawberry Pheno looks more like Sativa. The flowering is quiet fast, about 50-55 Days.
The Smell changes while flowering, starting as sweet Grapefruit transforming into sweet wild strawberry.

I got 10 seeds over an exchange board and i´ve been told that they are the original one from BG, can´t say if its true.
It is possible, because the man i got it from is very well renommeed here, and the Seeds looked quiet old to me. Unfortunately i had a germination rate of only 60% = 6 Plants and only 2 of them were female.

The one on the Pictures is the Plant from the Seed, not really represantable because i cutted it short before flowering.
The first Cuts will start flowering in about 2 or 3 Weeks, should then be better in Yield.

I have a keeper C99BX pheno from Mosca that smells of over ripe pineapples mid-flower and takes a jolly rancher Grape candy smell/taste late flower. It cures to a pure grape jolly rancher taste/smell.

I have the grapefruit pheno amazing smoke .. Strong high with gorgeous flavour and smell ..Real tangy grapefruit smell in the jar which when burning smells of ginger beer and something else and tastes of tropical fruit ... I cant understand how you dont like it Frantisheck its one of my top two strains.

grew c-99bx-1 moscra negra absolutely amazing uniformed strain and i got a sweetly tropical fruit punch mix and a pure pineapple tasting phens so im happy as also the c-99 thats crossed in reservoir seeds is one of the nicest strains ive ever smoked and thats only getting a little taste ,love to see her let loose

The unique pineapple/grapefruit aroma is dominant for sure, even in alot of C99 crosses. I love the flavor! I had one pheno that was more sativa dom which had a fruit punch smell. The buds were fruity but still had a hint of the pineapple/grapefruit. If you can get Cindy in your garden keep her around.

The ones I grew a few years ago showed two phenos, the grapefruit and the pineapple. Recently tho, i got to check out a cut a buddy has going from orig Grimms beans that has a fruit punch and black liqourice aroma to it.

I have been vaping 4 wallyduck c99s for the last 9 months or so. my favorite 1 is a tropical fruit punch with a warm buzzy high. 2 are more pineappley with a more racy high. one is fruity mixed with a funk smell, nice high, not quite as potent or tasty.

Is there anyone who is sure that he has growed original F1 from Brothers Grimm?
Are there other tastes then Grapefruit and Pineapple in the F1 Generation?
I guess the Strawberry taste is recessive and my Plants are F2+.

Makes me a little bit sad, although the C99 i got has the best taste from all of my strains.

Gypsy Nirvana

The newest addition to the GN Collection, back by popular demand! Gypsy introduced me to my first experience with Cinderella99 back in 2003, relaying that she was one of his most favorite strains. Several hundred of this variety were grown during an earlier breeding project when we met with her original creator�..Mr. Soul, who gave his thumbs up approval that what was being produced was a true representation of his legendary strain. We found two basic phenotypes, grapefruit and pineapple, both exceptional specimens, requiring a mere 50 to 56 day flowering period. For a sativa dominant variety to have a short flowering period and be able to deliver a strong punch, with such sweetness, and with little variation, is why many growers refer to Cindy as truly one of the holy grail strains. The parents were derived from Original Brothers Grimm stock from within Gypsy�s private collection. Both grapefruit and pineapple phenotypes were selected for this project, thereby retaining the original traits Soul created when cubing C99. For a more uplifting and stimulating effect, harvest in the 52 day range.

I have recently planted some seeds from the original seed release .. and have one plant that is growing sooo exceptionally beautiful ... in veg, 2 gallon smart pot .. I hope it finishes and tastes as beautiful as it looks .. absolutely will take several cuts
