ive been having problems with quail outdoors lately. i think theyre going for the water after i water plants. i live in a cali in a pretty arid region. lately when ive been going back to check on plants theres quail feathers all around the base and root systems of plants, and they seem to have dug up the roots a little bit as well. has this ever happened to anyone, and do you have any advice? theres an abundance of quail out here....but its almost quail season haha

The only problem I have with them is that they are kinda small when I cook them!

Hahaha!

Sorry I can't help more!

some massive prop bets been made between old poker/hustlersthat u couldnt eat a quail every day for a month

sounds easy but massive amounts of money been lost when they couldnt face another day/quail

Water the birds so theyre not trying to create puddles around your plants in hopes of sucking up a thimble of water. Get a bowl and pour a quart of water in it.

we have wild hemp growing around here and the police try to keep it cut down but a lot of bird hunters dont cut it because it attracts quail and dove.

arid areas where plants need to be watered often have bird probs and yes, they are looking for a nearby drink. when you set your plants the top 1" that is usually soil should be small rock instead. water will run through the rocks but they are too big for birds to move. peace-biteme
