this is a hungarian puli, came across it coincidently when searching for the hungarian car also called "puli"

their hair naturally cords in to dreadlocks and they rarely moult. they've been used as working dogs in the moutains for centuries, where their coat keeps them cosey and warm

i just gotta get one!!

its a PUPPYFARI or maybe some kid whose been on PHISH tour to long!!!!!!!!!!!!LOL

i wish i knew what you were talking about! lol

this is one of those times where you have to weigh up whether it's better to let something go over your head, for humour's sake, so others can appreciate, or to stop and question for the sake of your own curiosity

...i went with the latter :dance013:

i'd not heard the term "water dog", so i looked into it.

according to wiki, puli's have never worked with water, but they are listed on the article about water dogs.

now i just need dreads of my own! i better get started

thanks gmt

i've been reading bits about the puli since I "discovered" it and not seen a comparison to a bargamasco. That's another very cool dog.

I've gotta get my own dog and these are both possibilities

I'm loving the bergamasco breed, and think the next dog I get, if I can find one, and if a rescue dog doesnt pull at my heart first, will be one of these. I love the fact that when living in a pack, they dont establish a dominant / submissive role but live in harmony. This is the only breed that ive heard of living in this way. Theres a quote in the write up on them that says they will never see you as their master but will become a friend for life, thats how I would want it.

dogmon,,thats cool!!

thats an intresting fact GMT,,,,ive got a packdog and i wish she didnt demand a dominant figure,,,,a working dog without the pack mentality sounds perfect,,,

i love woking dogs,,,very clever!

roach clip, the write up on them said that they are classified as having hair rather than fur, and dont shed, so they are considered non allergenic. 3 types of hair on each dog, the top coat being very soft. google them, lots of info out there.
