Also, Floromite foliar works really well. You spray one day before it goes dark, then 48 hours later spray again, and its resilient for 2 months.

I use it right after clones have taken root, and then again a week before flower just to make sure nothing unexpected happens.

Also, next time it might be nice for you to buy a jewlers loop from the local grow shop, makes mites easier to spot. Because once you can see the damage to the leaves, its a little harder to deal with.

Put me down for Azamax. I just did my second spray down(of the three recommended) with it yesterday, and I only saw about 10 moving on the plant that was hit the worst by them(before spraying them). I am sold on the stuff, especially since it says that you can use it up to the day of harvest(on lettuce and veggies at least), but I am thinking of laying off about a week before harvesting, and spraying with cold water to knock them back at that point.

Co2 would do it?

That is my understanding. Make sure they are in a leak proof area and raise the ppm to 5000+ for a couple hours. That should kill all bugs. It won't get the eggs so you might have to do it once a week until they are gone. Careful you don't asphyxiate yourself!

Edit: other sources say 10,000 ppm for an hour.

If you use ladybugs put them on right at lights out because they all fly to the light and are killed. Tanglefoot is a great preventative measure against bugs you put it on stems, rims or pots, and ends of drying lines. Check your local grow shop I cant remember the name if the spray but it is safe to use right up until harvest. I have used it in the past and it works great. Good luck I hate those little mother effers.

lol good luck with that. azamax doesnt kill shit, it will still take months of diligent eradication efforts to get to get rid of them completely.

it's the eggs you have to kill, if you dont get them all they will never go away.

azatrol is good preventative along with azamax but it wont Kill the bugs, just keep them under control. I heard "no more spider mites" is the best organic spray ever though ive never used it(1 liter is $365??). only thing ive used that actually kills the eggs is avid, and i never ever ever ever spray on flowers. avid is a toxic substance and human contact should be avoided.

it takes extremely high levels of c02 to kill mites, thousands of ppms (3000+) which is bad for flowers at the end of flowering, i think its too much at any point of a plants life to go over 2000ppms, 1500 being ideal. lady bugs dont work well, if they do you need shit tons of them and then u run the risk of them dried up in your finished product.

Next time id try multiple preventative measures early on, the best non toxic spray ive used which benefits the plant in tons of ways is making a combination of nutrients to use in a foliar that creates systemic acquired resistance in plants.

Harpin proteins are banned in CA for some ridiculous reason but if you can find the ingredients its well worth it. A local shop around my area had some Messenger stashed away from when it was legal, bought that shit up! just gave my plants a spray tonight and all the leaves are pointing to the ceiling now, love it! i once treated only two plants (few times throughout their life) in a room with a bad mite problem and the mites hardly touched the two treated plants. ph spray to around 9

Good luck! +~~

fight it however you can but before you restart I suggest pausing and doing a complete clean down and remove all growth medium, materials and green / brown matter so they are GONE before you restart.

they are the DEVIL lol as the waterboys mama would say.

how to kill them without any harmful foggers or chemical type. any suggestions anyone? thanks

There are a few ways to control them, eradication without a lot of diligence, especially if in a tightly planted scenario, is difficult at best.

Isopropyl alcohol and water, starting @ a 50:50 ratio.

Horticultural oil, insecticidal soap, plant extracts (lavender tea/extract is one), plant essential oils disallow resistance and don't harm humans or insects with hard exoskeletons.

Hydrogen peroxide, or peroxide mixes such as OxiDate.

Raising humidity and lowering temps into the 60s are also very effective at controlling numbers to the point that you're much more easily able to eradicate.

All other methods/treatments listed above should be used every three days to ensure best control and have your best shot at eradication.

If you can take them outside or a bathtub maybe. This is what I did, Spray them up as in shower setting on your hose spray the plants from the bottom pointing up. Knock everything off the plants bugs eggs and all. Them use your miteicide of some kind. Let dry then use neem oil. Let dry then return to your CLEANED room. It will be a war but this will help. I need this last week.
