Nice tents man! Awesome to see you running some BeanHo gear, I have some myself :D

I noticed in another thread you mentioned running the Beanho williams wonderxssh and nl/haze x ak47... I have packs of both these but haven't run either yet. What did you think of them? Have any pics?

Thanks a lot man and I love your setup!
Thanks dude~
They're still growing and due to time/security, no pics. The plants are growing well and haven't had any problems so far. Beanho's gear is solid so far..... just gotta smoke a bit before giving the final thumbs up.

I've finally gotten around to banging this out and there's a lot to go through. Looking back I haven't really shared much of the technical information that has gotten me where I am.... It made me really think about all the short cuts I tried to employ.

Example: In the 4x8 I thought I could go rooted clone to a 7x7x9 pot after vegging for about 6 weeks and then flower with just a few minor issues. I shoulda done a root trim like I did in the sssh vert tent or up potted. I didn't and as soon as they started to get rootbound they started showing they weren't happy. This would have eliminated the need for so many scratch-in feedings/teas being needed and in general I would've had healthier plants.
Not making that mistake again as my 2 gallon round pots are going to be as small as I flower in from this point forward , 3 week veg time max in 2 gals. Just about everything should end up in 5 gals if its organic from this point forward.
I also have had problems with simply watering my plants in previous grows so I don't really know why I didn't get blumats from the get go.... Gotta get some soon.
I haven't really been following the tea recipes I used my first organic grow and haven't been using mollasses as often as I should.... things aren't going as well so I'm going back to the basics. I'm not as comfortable with making teas to address defs/plant needs with my huge rack of organic ingredients. I was trying to do too much. I'm better off with a bag of EWC, a box of international house of guano from sunleaves, liquid kelp and molasses.

I'm also employing the use of the infamous desk calendar to keep track of/schedule things... had since some time in 2009 and I just opened it. :D I've also started actually writing down exactly what I'm doing so I can share with you all but more importantly see what works/doesn't work. There's too much going on to be wingin it, could be doing better on a few things with better organization fo sho.
I know..... enough rambling....onward we go.

The vert 4x4's aren't experiencing any nutrient issues at this point and should stay sexy through the grow. I flipped the SSSH tent on 8/29 and took pictures 9/2, day 5 of 12/12. I defoliated and took pictures of the AK99 tent on 9/3, which was day 8 of 12/12.

I need to defoliate the SSSH tent still, things are definitely getting leafy in there. I'm trying something a little bit different with the SSSH tent... 11 on/13 off lighting starting day 14. It can't do any harm IMHO, if it does anything it would probably be positive.

The AK99 tent is just plugging along. No problems, no worries just waiting until things get interesting in the next couple of weeks.

I feel like I time travelled to this point. been a fast week. The garden has certainly helped that.

I got all the critical+'s, all but 1 johnny blaze and 7 of the odd couples to join the show. I'm pretty stoked considering the age of the johnnyb and the odd couple seeds. Revising the line up a little bit as I've made a subtraction and a couple of additions. Its going to change what I'm going to be able to do cross wise, but not too much. I'm probably only going to do crosses with the NL, AK and maybe the C99 or Sweet Tooth 1.1, tough decision between the two. Until then I'll focus on blowing through packs, going to be revegging a few keepers from each strain after making f2s to produce sensi/use in crosses down the line.

I still haven't had the opportunity to defoliate the SSSH tent which is fine by me, I'm liking what happened to the plants. I'll stop their reign of terror by Friday and make my bottom bitches make me flowers to get me high.....in about 3 months LOL :D
Seeing the plants grow this much in all directions has made me rethink how much defoliation is needed and how often its needed. I am going to watch the plants' flower development for the post stretch trim from here on out. I timed it well with the AK99's and I think I've made the right decision on waiting it out with these. Once the plants start focusing on their top colas and those have developed to the point the plant is just starting to get trichs seems to be a good point. ~!ONTO THE PICS!~

==============--------------------==============

The AK99 tent is still putting vertical growth out after the defoliation so I didn't slow em down like I did in the 4x8. They're growing so quickly that a couple of buds grew into the wind tunnel/up to the tip of the bulb and got a little burned; just the edge of a couple of fans, no real damage. I tied back a lot of the buds to the cages and think it'll be a while before I have to deal with that again. I put two gallon buckets under the plants that needed a bit of a boost to get a more even canopy. There were 4 extra clones with 2 weeks of veg on em left over after putting all 6 phenos into coco so I can get my coco/hydroton waterfarms going. I considered tossing them but ended up putting them in some rich organic soil in 7x7x9 pots last night. They went through their first full day of 12/12 today. Fills some empty space and hopefully pads my gpw so my epeen feels bigger at the end of the day. Day 19 for the senior citizens.

Those are some kick ass tents you've got running. With all those plants you must spend a lot of time in there. Best of luck with all those new breeding projects.

I am only going to be able to update the two vert tents, for now. I will do an update on the 4x8 when I harvest the Joey Weed gear. I am letting that go to around 10 weeks; there's too many clear trichs on everything at this point, day 61.
I am going to take the Alpha Diesel x Mango Haze plants to 11 weeks. I already have brown seeds poking through a couple of calyxes. The F2s are where I think this strain will really shine so I'm not too worried about not finishing this completely. It should still make some killer bubble hash in the end. I'll probably try popping a few of the F2s before the end of November. If I find some decent plants out of a 20-30 plant population I'll make selections for F3s. Looking for something decently AD leaning.

Once I get the JW plants harvested I'll start construction on my shelves for the 4x8 as I transition that over to vert. The shelves will be 36" tall and 12" wide. I should be able to fit 20 5 gallon buckets of organic soil and 6 coco/hydroton Water Farms in as well. I am placing the Water Farms in the corners, on the shelves to maximize the least lit areas of the tent.

4x8r.jpg

As soon as I build the shelves on the JW side I will put the SSSH into the 4x8 under the 1000w set up to finish them up. I am hoping they are able to occupy the 4x8 by mid-Oct. One of the 4x4's will need to be turned into a veg/pollination chamber. I will be building 36" high, 12" wide shelves around the perimeter, in both 4x4s as they become available.
With the 4x8 going vert I will use my Radiant 6 hoods with 250w MH bulbs in my sideways SunHut LG, 3x7x4 tent. (genius idea sfzoo) Right now I've just got T8's in the veg tent.

The AK99 tent is coming along with no serious issues. A few of the plants are a bit wind burned from growing into the wind tunnel but not much I can do about it. I am hitting both of the vert tents with an Organica tea today. I'll start brewing a guano/kelp tea tonight for use in a few days to ramp up flower production. Hopefully that combination works well. The clones have started to transfer their energy towards the stretch, after getting well rooted. They will be lollipopped in about a week. They will not be defoliated as it likely won't be needed to attain max yield. Just hoping to fill up an extra jar or two :D
The pictures are a few days old, from day 26 of 12/12. The clones are on day 6.

This SSSH has been a pleasure to grow so far, the smells have me anxiously waiting to harvest these beauties. These will be hit with both of the aforementioned teas. I hope they start to focus on trichome production more with a little bit of a nudge.
The pictures are a few days old, from day 24 since the flip.

thanks man. I actually spend a lot less time in there than I should, its the cool thing about being mostly organic.
