As long as we pray earnestly and sincerely with all our being, if we have strong
and genuine faith, even though results may not be immediately visible, they will
definitely manifest without fail in generations of our children and our
children's' children. I would like all of you to have absolute confidence in
this.

"Everyone has a right to flower, to reveal his or her full potential as a human being, to fulfill his or her mission in this world. You have this right, and so does everyone else. This is the meaning of human rights. To scorn, violate and abuse people's human rights destroys the natural order of things. Prizing human rights and respecting others are among our most important tasks."

(Daisaku Ikeda)

Would any chanting growers like to meet in San Fran for New Years Eve 2010?

Would any chanting growers like to meet in San Fran for New Years Eve 2010?

i sure would!

Thank you all for the great week. Expect lots of daimoku in the forecast with heavy shakubuku. Looks like this good karma system is rolling in from the west and peace is coming from the east.

I'm all about opening up the letters that Nichiren Daishonin wrote to us (his followers) called The Goshos because they really hit home. Just open up your book and bang right there powerful message just for you... Hey let's try it....

"I wonder what good causes formed in your past lives have enabled all of you to visit me, Nichiren. But what-ever you might discover in examining your past, I am sure that this time you will be able to break free from the sufferings of birth and death. Chudapanthaka was unable to memorize a teaching of fourteen characters even in the space of three years, and yet he attained Buddhahood. Devadatta, on the other hand, had committed to memory sixty thousand teachings but fell into the hell of incessant suffering. These examples exactly represent the situation in the world in this present latter age. Never suppose that they pertain only to other people and not to yourselves."

Three Tripitaka Masters Pray For Rain (The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, Page 602)

See what I mean!

Dear Friends,

I would not be posting any more in this thread.
I am truly sorry if I have caused any confusion to anyone who is practicing with-in the SGI.

To those who have benefited from my posts, I just wanted to make a statement that Nam-myoho-renge-kyo and the Gohonzon is absolute and that the SGI is the very gathering of people who would spread the Law for the future. The organization, with no doubt, is bound to changes for the betterment of people with-in giving time to befit the age and countries by which the people practice.

I have caused concern among the SGI leadership and have no intention to continue cause any disunity or confusion among the membership.
I regret if I did, by posting my messages here and else where

hey pb,

I've also enjoyed your posts. Thanks so much!

SGI "leadership" really grinds my gears.
There is such an adversion to risk from those who advocate for COURAGE.

I wanted to set up a SGI info booth at Hempfest. SGI leaders were all nervous nellies over it all. So there was no support and it did not happen. 200,000 people went through there that weekend. Shame.

The SGI is aging rapidly. When I joined in the 70's everybody (almost) was under 30. Today we're grandpas and grandmas and act like it.
No wonder the youth division dwindles while the old fogies division is on a fast track for growth=decline.

Even tho medical mj is legal in 14 states, we miss the opportunity to meet young people many who are ill and be of service to the many who have been so unjustly treated.

I walked away from my SGI leadership position because I follow couragous leaders only and rarely. I follow Nichiren and the Gohonzon. Any other "guidance" is an opinion. If it doesn't focus on winning through diamoku then it just someones idea.

People are what they do, not what they say.

I hope that the "leaders" who are soooo concerned about posting on this site, I think they should chant abundant diamoku and fire up a nice morsel of our favorite plant.

cheers.

"“We can't transform our karma or carry out our human revolution unless we strive our hardest, to the point of tears. That's why from the perspective of Buddhism, there's nothing as precious as a struggle.

"...Without effort, you'll never experience joy or perfect your character. I hope all of you will also strive tirelessly for kosen-rufu and polish yourselves in the process.

"As the renowned Irish poet William Butler Yeats (1865-1935) wrote: 'Joy is of the will which labours, which overcomes obstacles, which knows triumph.'"
