Ok so heres my setup:
3-Sweet Seeds-Fast Bud (FEM)

7-Nirvana Seeds-Short Rider (REG)
150 watt hps
4-42 watt cfl's (2700K)
4-26 watt cfl's (6500K)
48" x 24" x 60" Grow Tent
Medium-Miracle Gro Fast Draining Formula
Nutes-Dyna-Gro (Liquid Grow&Bloom)
Super thrive
Pots are 1.4 liters

Ok so heres my problem this is my first time growing..And I feel like I screwed something up already..For about the first week and a half I was using the dunk watering method(DR.GREENEGENES),Watering every two or three days with tap water ph balanced to roughly 6.5..At the begining of week two(roughly) I started nutes 1/8 Strength with a few drops of Superthrive every other watering(twice so far) and regular ph balanced water in between. I feel as though the plants are growing very slow..did I stunt them???

Any input would be greatly appriciated..All I want is to smoke some bud that I can say I grew..that would be Fuckin Bad Ass

Welcome Mistergreen420..
Be careful...once you start growing its hard to stop. Its more addictive then weed will ever be.

I got a freebie Mataro Blue going as well..It started off slow for me too.now its 2 week in and things are picking up.

I'm new to auto's but i think you will be just fine...make sure not to over water.

Keep it up boss

Try watering at pH 6.0-5.8 if its a hydro medium, and don't use more than 2 drops of superthrive per gallon. Best of luck m8

Those pots are good sized so they might be working on rooting, specially with all the superthrive. If that's the case it should be a good thing if the plants kick into gear.

I'd try some mini hoods on those cfls and try your own watering schedule unless you have the exact same soil as Dr.G.

If you place Diatomaceous earth on top of your soil it should kill the gnats in no time and can be found at home depot and lowes. :)

I'd use superthrive even in flowering stage but sparingly, too much will make them leafy, but a little bit every week will give bigger buds.

So I went to home depot in search of Diatomaceous earth for my fungus gnat problem..only to find out they only come in 20lbs. bags and i wasnt gonna buy that..its way too..much so im wondering an alternitive product at a walmart or home depot?????

Mosquito dunks are cheap easy to find non toxic to humans and the thuringiensis israelensise bacteria also kill their cousin the fungus gnat. They kill the larvae use them with every watering until they're gone.

I like to use the K.I.S.S (Keep it Simple Stupid) method when ever possible. Instead of relying on a gadget to tell you when your plants need water lift the pots. When they are light they are ready to be watered again.

Droppy leaves and yellowing starting at the bottom of the plant is a sign of not enough oxygen in the root zone, usually from too much water. A tablespoon of 3% hydrogen peroxide in each gallon of water helps oxygenate the soil.

thanks rudy...quick question should I use hydrogen peroxide in every watering including through harvest??? And also the mosquito dunks ive never heard of them..Is it something I add to water or what???How do I use them??And where can i get them??

Mosquito dunks can be found at Home Depot/Lowes and most big hardware stores. The bacteria in mosquito dunks lives in standing, water allow 5 gallons of water to sit uncovered for 2 days so all the chlorine evaporates out then add a mosquito dunk. Use the inoculated water to water your plants. Do not use non-organic fertilizer or hydrogen peroxide until the fungus gnats are gone.

Hydrogen peroxide should be used with every watering from start to finish. It adds oxygen to the soil helping plants absorb nutrients and kills root rot and other bad bacteria while providing oxygen for the good bacteria.

Once again thanks rudy..But i was out and about today and came across a gardening store..this lady convinced me to buy sand and put it on top off my soil...she said it should take care of my fungus gnat problem...Wut do yall think???

hey hey check out my multi-strain auto grow its in my sig....alot of helpful info in there:wave:

Putting an inch of sand discourages fungus gnats because they will not lay eggs in dry soil. I do not recommend it for two reasons. First is because it is heavy and may compact the soil, second marijuana roots love oxygen, there is the most oxygen in the top few inches of soil putting a layer of sand on top will means that the most oxygen rich part of the soil will be too dry for the roots to grow in. Sand may also act as a plug making it harder for oxygen to get into the good dirt. Sand is a good way to keep fungus gnats from infesting ordinary house plants but you want your babies to grow as fast as possible.

Diotomaceous earth is worth getting, it never gos bad, it kills all soil pest and this hobby is addictive and you will be battling bugs as long as you grow.

I forgot to say the first time, when using hydrogen peroxide use 1 teaspoon per gallon the 1st week, 2 the 2nd week then a tablespoon per gallon from the third week on.
