Volcano vape and oil question

I have a classic volcano and use 6.5 (386 F) to smoke cannabis. What setting should I use to smoke oil? I would assume it doesn't need to be as high? Anyone have any knowledge on the topic?

I like to smoke my bubble on 9, but idk ab oil. I never really got good bags from oil idk

The highest setting delivers the most THC always.

even though i have an oil screen i am worried about having it up too high and the oil dripping into the fan. everything i read said that weed should be done at 6.5, i assume thats so you dont burn plant matter. being that there is no plant matter in oil i could understand that you could max it out but that still makes me a bit uncomfortable. any more people use volcanoes for concentrates?

i would think you want to max out. the process of making oil should have already removed anything you wouldn't want to combust

ive never had that great of success with any sort of hash in my digi. i once placed .4 of bho on the oil screen and all it did was melt into that big ass screen and as soon as i saw that i got it off asap because i was worried about it dropping into the diaphragm air pump.

are you using just the regular screen in the volcano or did you buy the oil screens? I'm using the oil screen and i havent had a problem with dripping yet but i usually only put a drop or 2, nowhere near point four. The stone is nice but i'm still messing around with temp. I might try max like everyone is suggesting and get back to you guys.

Anyone know what temp oil vaporizes at? I could figure it out from there.

it starts vaporzing starting 40 degrees celsius , of course this is too low to get any decent effects

i would not go higher then 6.5

I always use my vape at 5.5 and sometimes at 6

no point in using a volcano if you are gonna put it on the highest setting , might as well smoke it then

This is almost true, since the oil is already the part you want, but not bursting into flame would be preferable.

If this "oil" has been heated enough, by stripping off solvent or something, enough to decarboxylate all the THCA to THC, then maybe 3 could be as strong a hit as 9 is with glass BHO, or un-decarboxylated buds.

I've had a volcano for many years, and I bought the bowl for the bho but have yet to use it... lol i forgot i had it! I'll try to make some oil right now and i'll let you know what setting works for me.. i was also worried about the oil melting down that mesh screen.
