1800w Tent x2 w/ Blumats = 3600w Simplicity Grow

Hey all,

Just harvest 1800w worth out of DR240w using blumats with great success. Harvested just under 3lbs with 3 600w lights in a 4x8 tent.

I'm 100% pleased with the performance of the blumats - it was a totally hands off grow. I'm hooked. If you currently handwater and would like some of your time back I HIGHLY suggest looking into the blumats - they work!

Unfortunatey I didnt take any pictures, but I'm starting this thread to document the next round and on going perpetual harvests out of this particular basement. Going to stager the two tents so that one tent comes down ever 4 weeks provided I can keep up with the clones/veg.

Some Specs:

Tent 1 - DR240w - 4'x8'
3 - Lumatek 600w 240v Ballasts
3 - Ushio 600w Lamps
3 - Daystar AC Reflectors
1 - Vortex 6" 449CFM
1 - Can Filter 66

Going to run the above tent just as last grow. Horizontal Daystar ACs over blumat watered coco grow bags. RO water: Flora Micro 6ml / FloraBloom 9ml - Bloombastic only additive.
__

Tent 2 - DR240w - 4'x8'
3 - Lumatek 600w 240v Ballasts
3 - Ushio 600w Lamps
1 - Can Fan 6" HO 440CFM
1 - Can Filter 66

Going to experiment a little with this tent and try going Northern Style stadium down the middle of the tent. 2 rows of plants on the floor and 2 rows a little higher on the front and backside of the tent. Hoping there is enough room, but who knows.

Pics up tomorrow of setup - clones are currently being rooted.

*thread started a tad early, but I'm using it to keep track of myself as well as share this awesome hobby with all of you. :tiphat: Wish me luck!

Actual strains are currently unknown depending on what I may get from a friend.

I currently have 6 moms, 2 clones of each, but got lazy somewhere and they are looking a little rough. I believe it was caused by my blumat reservoir's pH droppingto 4.9-5.0 in coco and locking out ca/mg or something. Problem has since been corrected, but still having issues. Moms are on unsoftened well water which is like 700PPM before RO machine, but still 150-175 after RO.

Potential Strains that I'm holding moms of:
LUI (legends ultimate indica)(sweet tooth #3 x ortega) friend selected pheno from seeds
Blueberry Lavender (bluberry x lavender) - local clone
Lemon G (new lemon G which is actually reeferman love potion I'm told)

Moms - look good in the pic, but more rough in real life up close. Also yellowing from bottom up.

No worries though. I typically have zero issues running 6/9 micro/bloom. I've took cut from the semi-sick mothers so I'm hoping they root and I'll be on my way.

Moms were flushed w/ RO - then blumat tank refilled with 6/9 pH 6.0. Hopefully they'll be looking up soon.

So..everything re-setup (+1 more tent) after a gas man needed to visit. Tents made it pretty easy. Vertical tent still needs a few things - filter/fan hung, blumat res on saw horses, HPH-4 controller for lights, ect. Both tents need better circulating fans, but I cant find anything good that can hang upside down in the tents. Little airking clip fans aint cutting it.

i rike what im seeing here. wish i had that much space. what kind of equipment is that in the last pic? fertilizer computer?

thanks for the replies

Equipment in the last pic is my "power station". Its a little subpanel I built when I first had to learn electricity to do these types of things.

Its 30amp breaker in the main house panel - to the subpanel - from there it splits off 240v into the hot water tank timer to the 240v outlets. Also has a 20amp dedicated outlet for dehumidifier or whatever - and a few 120v outlets for misc stuff.

Left tent is filled up and its nearing time to flip into bloom. Will flip as soon as I get these plants out of 5.5 KORD pots they are in and into 2 Gal grow bags w/ blumats.

I'll have pictures on this one in a few days.

Right tent is getting 8 new babies for the vertical experiment here within a few days. I hope to have it timed right so that the horizontal tent goes into flower with the vertical tent going into flower 4 weeks later. If that all gets timed out well I'll be able to harvest one tent (1800w) every month.

Thanks!

Alright, I save you guys from all the boring stuff...

Sorry for the lack of updates round' here - will try to post weekly progress now that we've started the fun. :jump:

Day 1 12/12
Plants transplanted into 2 gallon bags and plants thinned out a bit. Will try to do another stripping around week 2 of bloom.

Everything on blumats here so it should be on auto pilot from here on out aside from some adjusting here and there. This is how you are forced to setup blumats if you do not purchase extra 3mm tubing. It works however as these plants are not needing moved again.

BBxLavs are on left - LemG on the right although there may be a lost one over there in BBxLav territory.

Last run was just a hair shy of 3lbs. Just looking to match or better that. Totally different strain however so who knows.

Questions, comments, suggestions welcome.

I love the simplicity- gravity feed....period. Very cool.

If you could be so kind, I have a couple quick questions: How often do you fill that rez? Do they drink much? Do you change the water?

Digging the grow, bud. I'm anxious to see how these blumats crank it out. Always a pleasure to see your threads; very clean, ambitious, and experimental.

Don't really remember exactly, but its pretty much once a week most of the time. Towards mid flower it might require more then one fill up per week.

I'll try to pay more attention this round as to how often its needing filled. A lot of times last grow I'd just topped off with 5 gallons of 6/9 everytime I was there and had the opportunity, regardless of if it was near empty or not.
