Whats happnin... I finally got my first grow on its way, this is for my own personal MMJ...

These are all clones, 2 Durban Poison, 2 Canna Blue, & 2 Sensi Star. Under 400w MH/HPS
I got them three weeks ago from a place here and they said they were like 2-3 weeks old, so now that would make them 5-6 weeks old... I plan to flip the switch next weekend... I would like to take 1 or 2 clones off each, do they seem like there almost ready to do that, I still have to get a humidity dome, and 24" fluorescent and rooting hormone but im broke, so hopefully this week Ill figure somethin out...

I started givin Earth Juice grow and Catalyst when i transplanted them into 1 gallon pots, they sure took that shit in!!! Yesterday I already had to put them in 3 gallon pots, roots suprised me...I also LST them as soon as I got them... The 2 durbin poison are on blast off mode.. Im still conserned about waterin them, i hope im doin it right...When in 1 gallon pots I gave each 2 cups of water w/nutes and had a little run off every 4 days.. I havent watered yet since i put them in the 3 gal yesterday, well I put enough on the new soil to moisten it i think...

Flix from right after I got them to today

My soil is the LC#2 except for the fox farms for the base, I got some shit that this old man at the nursery said he liked and holds water better...Just dont have the fansy bag...
My height restriction is 4ft.. if u subtract the cooltube, and the space from the top of the plants, it leaves me w/ like 3ft or less...box is 4x3.5x4...
You say ultra LST, aint that how to do it, or am i gettin carried away? I want a bunch of colas poppin like a big ass bush!!! without hittin my light...

your doing your lst right. the only thing i see you may need to change is your watering you say your giving them water/nutes every 4 days with no runoff. if you continue to feed every watering and dont allow runoff your setting your self for salt build up or nute lock

Just so you know, those cuttings might have been 2-3 weeks old but the plants they came off of were sexually mature females. The clones could have been flipped the day you got them.

You don't need any of those things to clone. One CFL will provide more than enough light for them to root.

Thanks for posting the LST pictures.

When i had them in the 1gal pots I watered them bout 2cups and had runoff every time... I watered w/runoff 4 days ago, transplanted to 3gal pots yesterday and lightly moistened the new soil around the roots, bout 2 cups on new soil... will probably water tomorrow, are u say'n I should use straight water, and have good runoff?

Dont they grow 1-2 times they are when flipped? they are only like 5in tall now, but all tied down... If they werent tied down they would probabally be like a foot or so tall... I was thinkin I should stop training, ur sayn keep tying em down? 13ft, DAMN!!! outdoor I suppose

Allmotor,
You could drop a cutting in a glass of water and it'd root. I use coco and the cheap rooting powder from the hardware store. I'm sure there are threads in the soil section that show someone taking a cutting, sticking it in a cup of dirt and getting roots.

You don't need a humidity dome or a large light or even the rooting powder. Some would say the humidity dome even slows down the rooting.

good luck

Try poking through CLONERS- a collection of various methods thread.

A single 23 watt cfl will cover more than 5,000 (five thousand) clones.

Domes are generally an indication of excessive plant material which requires roots for survival and D'OH! We gots no roots! Keeping cuts short and well trimmed usually removes the need for domes. If you still want one, you probably have plenty lying around the house already. Just cut the bottom off a plastic soda bottle or milk container and drop it over the cuts.

Good lookin man, I found that link a while back... Will it be any problem if I cut my clones this Friday and flip to 12/12 Saturday? Stress or anything...

12/12 on what? The donors? Depends on what and how many were cut. If all you took were 1-2 cuts per plant from the underside of the LST, flip away. If you chopped off their little heads, I'd give them a week to recover.

Just 12/12 on the LST after I cut clones, gonna do 24hr on the cuts for the 1st week or so, then 18/6... I built a small box for the clones to veg until the others are done... the box is pretty small, just big enough for a 24in fluorescent, pretty much all I want to use it for is to keep cuts alive until the other box has been harvested... Is there a way to keep them small till I harvest the 1st batch? Can only have 6 plants at 12in or over..

Keep them small for 8 weeks and more? Never tried it but, the best I can offer is to search stasis. Use Advanced Search by Titles Only to find a handful of threads on both rooted and unrooted clones.
