Exactly man it just perpetuates our already almost religious consumerism. I always say..if your really having that much fun do you have time to take 20 pictures? ICMAG is an online community I actually want to be a part of..

No facebook for me. The way I see it is if you knew them 15 or 20 years ago and have not kept in touch then why do it now through facebook? Facebook is retarted. It is a waste of time. I love me some ICMAG though. There is much to learn here. The funny thing is twitter is even worse. Who gives a fuck about every little thing that someone does. Humans are becoming to egotistical. I don't care if you just shit and then remembered that you had thai food yesterday for lunch.

i tend my garden far more than i tend my facebook. and i have a guerrilla patch in the woods. started that shit up when i was in college now it just sits and collects dust/spam.
i stopped using it when all my family members started to try and add me. it was fun when it was a social place to meet college kids near you or at the same school, but honestly i dont want my aunts , uncles and grandparents reading about my drunken college shenanigans online with full pictures and everything.

I don't have it. Don't have myspace, don't have a cell phone. I never wanted to be like everyone else. If someone wants to get a hold of me they know how. I like my relationships to be substantial. Facebook is kind of taking things in the shallower direction from what I have seen. It's data mining anyway. I don't appreciate that - some CIA associated corp storing away my information with my agreement.

i love twitter, but fucking hate myspace and facebook. i only use myspace for my music, and even then, i have other people do it. back in 05 i jumped on the myspace bandwagon for a few months, but it quickly pissed me off.
my idea of fun is not having my computer slowed down by a page full of hundreds of shitty flash graphics, let alone playlists and youtube videos. When i'm on my computer, i'm listening to my own music. i hated clicking on a page, and then hearing some god damn music that i hate start playing, which would sound even worse mixed with my own.

It's not about facebook, but more the earlier years of the internet, and this brilliant mans experiments with what the future of the internet (now Facebook) will do to people as a result of self over-exposure. Basically, turn them into f*ckin weirdos!

haha well said man. haha so glad im not the only one here....it definately seems that growers in general are anomalys in society. we definately do not go with the flow...with the sheeple drones with their facebooks and fake social bullshit.
i was not expecting 95% of posters here to NOT have a FB...maybe i should have made a poll.
but yeah love the responses here...ICmag is definately my facebook of sorts...way more interesting to see how homies grow is doing instead of finding out that so and so are dating and so and so went to this club and took pictures..
