this pseudo topic of "denialisim" narrowed further by some created definition is nothing more than a smoke screen.
I'm not the one who made the thread shift to being about global warming... it is about much more than the segment of the venn diagram where global warming and scientific denialism overlap...

Pointed you to the answers to your question concerning the claims made by the majority of the climate scientists worldwide, which I passed along, but you seem unwilling to dig. I'm not going to spoon feed you and I have nothing more to prove... The information (all of it from both sides) is there on that site if you would only bother seeking the answers you claim to be seeking. The fallacies you imagine are the result of your incomplete picture. Stop criticizing the basic simplifies elementary school version, and read the intermediate and advanced versions which back up all of their assertions with hyperlinks to the pertinent data and to more detailed explanations.

I will say I was FUCKING SHOCKED when I came here a few years ago (yeah guess who lol) and found that the lessons I had gleaned from a plant that had opened a doorway of understanding to the natural world was lost on so many

its called apathy (especially the version where you tell yourself your too insignificant to make a difference and you leave it up to the mankind that has so discouraged you)

apathy is action (sin.karma) caused by people who bred to self hate and pot is where i learned to lose my apathy and in retrospect it took many many many years for me to come around
keep growing pot, it will save the world if you let it save you

Fine include the Mark Hoofnagle definition... Mark Hoofnagle has described denialism as "the employment of rhetorical tactics to give the appearance of argument or legitimate debate, when in actuality there is none."
So, even then, if you are presenting evidence as a skeptic you are not a denialist.
If you are using nothing but rhetorical tactics to deny empirically verifiable evidence, then you are a denialist.
Still doesn't make the thread about global warming.

If you have anything to use as evidence other than rhetorical tactics, then you are a denialist. Using refuted evidence after it has been refuted, as though it never had been refuted makes one a denialist.
p.s. before you make false accusations of false definitions... I'm offering examples which fall completely within the definition, not offering alternate definitions.

I spoke of how I see the concept of "Denialism" based on this thread and how to me it represents intellectual oppressionism (to ironically coin a term) on the part of those who wish to wipe away all nuances of dissent with such a term. That is an opinion on my part based on what I have seen here. It can't really be debated. Scientific data however can and should always be debated. If something is incorrect, show why. Don't destroy information that is outside your belief system simply because. No good can come of oppressivist rhetorical tactics such as the Denialist brand. Yes, if you label someone a Denialist instead of addressing what they say you must be an Oppressivist.
