Looks like your cutting was taken weeks into flower. It is going to consume the fan leaves until it can put out roots. In other words, the yellow fan leaves are not a problem. Hopefully it will quit trying to flower and focus on building roots.

Was the tip burn there when you took the cutting? I don't know how hot MG soil is but if the tips weren't burnt, it could be burning them. The fertilizer in the soil could also be slowing down rooting or so the theory goes.

no their was no burn in the leaves at all when i took the cutting

but when you say burn do you mean like nitrogen burn or like the light is to close burn ?

sorry for my ignorance i dont know much at all when it comes to the nutes and stuff

but once the roots do form will the color start to come back to it ?

how long does it normally take for roots to form ?

tyme,

I just realized something. Change your light to 18/6 or 24/0, You are telling the plant to flower when you want to tell it to root. Sorry I missed that at first.

You know your picture sucks. lol. But, it looks like the very tips of the leaves are brown. Just the very very tip. That usually is from fertilizer burn.

If everything was going right, 7-10 days. But don't pull it out to check. You don't want to break the fine roots off. Mine take longer because I abuse my mothers. How far into flower was yours? Reason is, if it was far enough into flower, it will take time to revert back to vegetative growth. The cutting needs energy for that. It's pulling the energy from the lower leaves. So we hope it has enough energy to get back into vegging and putting out roots.

The color is never going to come back. But you won't care because you'll get all new growth and the leaves that are dieing are going to be right at the soil line when your plant grows big.

high man, your pic is a bit fuzzy and it does look like
it was in flower when you took the cutting which, if
true, will mean it will take longer to root.

also, cloning is a skill that can be very frustrating to learn,
personally i tried several methods before finding one i
believe will work for anyone willing to follow a few simple
steps.

here are a few pics to illustrate and if you look in my
sig you will see a link to my cloning factory where, in
the first posting you will find a link to a full discussion
and instructions.

don't be fooled by how simple it seems or the haters
who put this method down as it is VERY effective and
reliable.

also, do a search for 'Freezerboy', he has put together
a thread with links to all the best of the cloning threads
although i am a true believer in this simple wick-style
method.

anyway, peace and good luck, SOG

Looks like the clone is trying to root if it hasn't allready.

How old is the cutiing?

And why do you have it on a 12/12 light cycle?

If your keeping under a dome? <<< it's time for her to come out of there.

it just started to flower when i took the cutting their was barley any hairs on it at all

so once i put it back in veg mode and it finally forms roots

then will it be ok to put back on 12/12 ?

Tyme,

Yes, no, maybe. You'll have to see how the new leaves look. If they look weird, I would wait until it started putting out fan leaves again before putting it back into flower. Search for reveg for pics of that.
