Well I guess I can say *HONK*.
I grow in a non med state for my own personal enjoyment. Don't sell to no-one for any reason since I don't need people in my personal business. But!!!! my GF's aunt (whose on S.S.) is on chemo for cancer. If I have some and she needs it I'll flip it to her.
I agree though that the best deeds are those that are done quietly without letting others know, but no need to bash and hate. So much of that as been going on around this site lately, it's no wonder a lot of the members are stepping away from the site and just reading now and refusing to post.

I did not start this thread to ask for praise. Just to see who out there gives away medicine to patients. It is exciting to see that people do!

With how much worth is placed on this plant monetarily, people can get way caught up in the "Big Pimpin' " aspect of this game and forget what the game really about.

I grew for the last 3-4 years and used the profits from selling my tanks for more meds for a group that helps people in hospices. I was selling my company this month and was going to give the money to them so they may build their own growroom.
They whined when I told them I was moving home full time and would no longer be able to grow for them. They whined more when I told them i would help build and pay for their room. I decided if they were that fucked in the head I would just keep the 20-30 grand. I feel sorry for the patients, but after listening to them I had a feeling the money would not have been used to grow herbs.
So those of you who bought my tanks(still the most expensive system out there) know your money was well used. And now GM Enterprize is up for sale again.
To those who do give out free meds you will be blessed further on down the road,for sure. Suerte JK

I have donated Meds to my local, and other collectives, also to legal patients that need these. It always feels good to show compasion and help others in need. I'm grateful I have the ability to do so..DD

I have been screwed many times helping people. people I've prevented from homelessness.

I've learned that even though I've been screwed, It does not prevent me from giving or wanting to give.

The med game can be shady despite the charity involved. I'm sorry for your loss.

However, just because you are doing right by your fellow man doesn't mean you should let security slide. I don't think your good will is to blame...

My patients aren't allowed at my place under any circumstances, even though the guidelines clearly state that the plants are legally theirs. You never know when someone will get desperate.

Not trying to disparage anyone, but bigdaddy brought up a good point and it's something med growers should always look out for.

Much as wish that it was not necessary, I don't feel that I have any choice. There are those that are close to me and or that have become close to me because of their need and I have no choice but to help them.
There are some that have been receptive to learning to provide for themselves and I have taught them to grow their own meds and as I improve and refine my own crosses and as I add genes to the bank I pass those along. Some have been too intimidated to learn to grow and absolutely will not even consider my setting up hydro systems for them. So, I guess I will continue to provide.
I have never sold any. I have never purchased any and have zero interest in the commercial side of things. Oh, I will grant that when I have stabilized my autocheesewreck that I will be donating a crap tonne of beans to the bay to help keep things moving along, but in general I am just some guy enjoying his hobby and doing his bit to improve his karma to the point that he is reborn as a billionaire playboy with a giant shlong and too much testosterone. heh.

This to me is the whole damn thing in a nutshell. I will say though that imo Karma is not something you treat it's more of a way of life. After spending so much time here I have seen her circle flow around to those that deserved it good and bad.

She is not picky She is not without cause but She will run you over like a truck if you deserve it.

What I challenge those of you who have posted in this thread and ask yourself ONE THING.

How many members since the beginning are no longer here because of the curse of mixing the words money and weed?

ICM is and ALWAYS will be about sharing the love and to put a price tag on that is gonna make Her circle VERY SMALL indeed.

unfortunately ive had a similiar experience as you... makes you think all those folks you've helped & sacrificed for for so long really didnt appreciate anything... kinda like jilted lovers.
