I'm having problems with moldy weed help me pleaseeeeeee i cut my girls down and hung them in my tent with airflow, i left both crown budds intact and hung them too. They hung for a week when they seemed really dry ( i checked daily for mold) after taking down to start curing in jars i cut the top crown the first was fine and smelt nice the second i cried it was fury inside with mold nothing on the leaves just this white fury up the stem, the other budds i them put in a jar and i have been checking daily i have noticed white bits on some and moved them what am i doing wrong pleaseeeeeeeeee
Just sounds like your bud wasn't dried thoroughly, it can feel dry on the outside, stems snap etc etc... but inside the bud is still slightly damp.
When you put bud that is still core damp into jars, the lack of airflow allows te moisture to remain and mold to build up.
What I would do is to take the bud you have, remove mold and break it up into smaller pieces. Sit it in a well ventilated room, at room temp, on a sheet of brown paper... a day or 2 should draw out any excess moisture so that you can jar it up again.
The large top budd was moldy when i took it our of the tent could this be because it was so compact? Its our first grow and i'm gutted we lost so much but we want to learn from this.
Most likely, the more compact the bud the more susceptible to mold it'll be as it's harder for internal moisture to escape.
I usually like to work dense buds open a bit before hanging them so that air can get inbetween calyxes better.
That's the thing with growing yer own, steep learning curve at first, but you soon learn from mishaps!
My problem was, still often is, always burning buds on my lights, really used to do my head in!!
Cheers buddy thanks for all the advice i thought that getting all the nuits and everythin right was goin to be the hards part off growing our own but my hubby has got that down to a t, but i never realised how hard dryin the stuff was. Its my job to do the cutting, dryin and curing and i think hubby has the easy job lol
Howdo folks!
Im originally a Blackburn lad now living in Gtr Manchester, currently growing four feminized Next generation NY purple Diesel that i picked up from Dr herman's.
It is officially day one for this grow as all four girls popped up out the soil this morn, i'll give em 10-14 days veg before i give em the 8-9 week 12/12.
I usually give at least 3 weeks grow time but i have no stocks at the moment and im finding the £140+ per ounce or the £10 per g very difficult right now especially after shelling out a few hundred quid for the home box, hps, rvk fan, seeds fittings etc.
Anyone smoked the NY purp diesel?
I couldnt make my mind up when i was in the shop so i asked the guy behind the counter to make my mind up for me by choosing the best smoke for no more than £50
Did he do well, or is he full of $hit?
hi bbg,im from rail-town mate, ..at the mo,bs exodus cheese,nl5,triesel,bs ex cheese x triesel. -jock horror as well but im leaving that untill my next grow because it takes like 13 weeks and so i'll have 'nirvanas' haze and kali most as well to accompany its similar finishing time cya bud. rock on
Greetings to all the North West growers.....Just want to ask about the weed situation up in the NW. I'm in the north of the midlands an the weed situation here is dire. I reckon i got another 4 weeks until i can start thinking about harvesting my greenhouse girls. I've taken the decision to stop buying and smoking low grade shit weed so the next few weeks are going to be a challenge. I was passed a couple of buds last night and it had to be up there with the crappest weed I've ever seen/smoked, I won't even finish them. How do people manage to grow such crap?
I'm missing my Sunday morning bong. Better go and find something to occupy myself with.
mrsc hello, yeah mold on the weed-all you need do mate is let the air get to it (room temperature, shaded area) - LIKE would happen in nature (y'know what i mean)!! ,GLASS JARS (like they advise p) SHOULD ONLY BE FOR STORING FOR A SHORT PERIOD i have found in my experience.glass jars, plastic bags put moisture back in the bud after a time. stagnant air would piss anything off ..bye.
like your name rudedog hehe ,i had a dog that was 'chipped' ,must admit i was disappointied to find out that there only like an id tag -i thought they'd track the dog no matter where it was. sssss
