Here is my cooltube but I don't know the brand. I would like to know if the socket in it is ok for a 1000w light but I wrote nothing on it.

While you always need to be wary of el cheapo equipment, in the case of quality gear, 1Ks are what the sockets are built for.

When mogul sockets are manufactured, their ratings are stamped into the ceramics, or burned into the glaze when kilned. Sometimes its stamped onto the metal parts inside the socket. Your's should be easily identifiable.

A 6Kv 600Vac 2000Watt is usually standard.
A 5kv 600Vac 1500Watt rating is acceptable.
A 4Kv 600Vac is usually only manufactured for lower wattage fixtures.

A morgul knife? A morgul vale? Maybe even a Minas Morgul. But not a morgul in your lamp room, unless you are growing a new type of absolutely killer weed!
