no strains named after Peter Lewis or Marc Emery?

I'm wondering why nobody has named a strain after Emery? Peter Lewis I can understand because he's pretty low key. He is the CEO of Progressive auto insurance. Gave $3 mil to the marijuana policy project and donated (not sure if he still does?) $1 mil a year to NORML. Emery was of course also a huge backer of the legalization movement as well (more so than Lewis.)

you may or not may like him as a person but his work and political activism certainly deserves recognition, especially the non-pot related stuff. His ibogaine detox center alone is revolutionary and opens the door for this sort of thing in the rest of North America.

Yep, Politics. we think we are outside all that shit and then something happens in our lives, like a bust, and suddenly we begin to understand that it's all about politics. Sorry to lean so far out on the intent of this thread, but I have to agree with !!!!! I would def name a strain after Marky Emm. And maybe call it that. Hey I know those that know him personally most likely dont feel this way, but not knowing him, I look at him as only a symbol.

Please remember that seeds are legal in Canada. He went foul of no Canadian law. Unfortunate for him we have an asslicking USA pandering Government that is in only with a slime number of seats. And come the next election this is sure to change.
